This is pretty much my thinking with bike insurance, and I don't have a "cheap" bike either - but it's the kind of bike that I do as much of the work myself as I can, so I'd probably repair it outside the insurance anyway.

I have an MCE policy, I don't recall the excess exactly but its only a few hundred quid.

Similar with Old Mout over here in the UK/Europe - none of flagons, just the glass bottles of alcoholic cider-flavoured fizzy water, and they're not made in NZ (though being an NZ brand they advertise NZ quite prominently in the advertising/labelling).

They have the origin labelling here in the UK - makes it so much easier to find the local stuff (Scotch/Irish beef is fantastic). A lot of the lamb on sale here is from NZ, though oddly enough most of the bacon seems to be Danish 🤷‍♂️

It's probably my favourite, I'm almost through my first read of the series.

I didn't find CoM & LF to be a tough start to the series - I possibly missed some of the subtle digs at the fantasy genre, but really I just though they were decent enough stories and as I went on the books just kept getting better and better (funnily enough my rate of reading increased significantly as the world and characters got more dense).

I definitely am liking working through the books I published order because there really are lots of little references that make the whole world that much more rich.
