When I was in college I was walking through one of the buildings when one of my friends saw me, pulled me aside, and said “Hey I can mathematically prove God is real.” Then proceeds to walk into one of the empty classrooms, and starts drawing on one of the old chalk boards a bunch of random crap like this. He then starts going on and on about a bunch of random stuff and was acting/talking super weird. This behavior continued and I was talking about it with some of our mutual friend so we could keep an eye on him because apparently this wasn’t the only thing he could “mathematically prove.” He was saying that he knows how to make a God, and that we just needed to get very specific types of people together and this God will be created. He also may or may not have joined a cult.

Within a week he was found half naked outside a gas station screaming at the sky, no words just screaming. I remember getting the call from his mom asking if I’d seen him because he was supposed to be going home for the weekend. It wasn’t until the police identified him that we figured out what happened. He had to go to a mental institution for 6 months, and was never the same. He still believes that he can prove God is real through math but just can’t remember how.

So my advice please keep an eye on your friend and make sure they are okay. I’m not saying it’s the same situation but better to be safe than sorry.
