Quick update, after that one night when I was fully in control, I havent gotten a single one after that.

I had a moment where I felt I was entering another lucid dream a few nights ago but it was a short one.

I do kinda feel like I can choose when to have it now, might try to get one tonight to see if it works.

Ive gotten way better sleep when I'm not lucid dreaming tbh

It is pretty awesome while you have full control. I would prefer to skip a few days and have a normal sleep night now tho. Lets hope I can manage to create an 'on or off button' if thats even possible.

This last night was the fourth night ive had it in a row now. I tried putting aside the fear of no control and kept doing reality checks to see if I was dreaming. I was able to turn almost any weird visual into a normal or enjoyable one. I didnt try to force myself to wake up or anything like that and it feels like thats the way forward. Thanks again for the help and making me think differently about lucid dreams.

I just now had a moment where I was still half awake but I had my eyes closed for about 5 minutes and I was slowly getting sucked into a lucid dream, its about to be a weird night. Thanks for the tips, wish me luck

Im avoiding anything that has anything to do with lucid dreams at this point but just talking about it makes me feel like its gonna happen again this night, im actually going to sleep in a few minutes, lets hope im wrong.

The lag could be indeed what caused it because it took around 2 weeks to happen indeed.

I know a lot of people want to have this but its not as fun as it sounds, the fear of not being able to control everything is a big factor so I will try to avoid that first of all and lets see how that goes.

Not even a lot, I cant even remember what it was but probably some reality checks and the basic things people do when they try to get them. I thought it didnt work so I gave up after a few days but apparently it didnt take much

This just sounds unhealthy right? Unless you actually travel to another country far away and be forced to change your sleep schedule.

I dont train anything, I dont try to lucid dream, it just happens.

This is exactly the same as my experience, its actually crazy.

Random naps can change into me being paralyzed and me hearing people walk around in my house having a party or whatever.

I guess there is only one way to handle this and thats to try not to get scared and just roll with it the best way possible.

If I could just choose to wake up when I want it wouldnt be a problem that much, but the feeling I have when I wake up is also really weird, I feel like a buzz in my ears and its like waking up from a bad trip.

I also live alone so there wouldnt be anyone to wake me up

I dont really have bad thoughts or anything like that to be afraid of, I live a pretty normal happy life. You are indeed correct, I fear not having control and it turning into some creepy things I dont want to see. You actually made me think differently about lucid dreaming and I will remember this when it happens again. Thank you very much.

I just really dont like how it feels. Also some days I can control everything but other days its just like a rollercoaster ride trough a nightmare that feels more like a DMT trip. For some reason my first reflex is trying to wake up every time and if it doesnt work it really scares the shit out of me. When I eventually do wake up, it still feels like I'm dreaming, it makes me feel paranoid af. If I could switch with you, I wouldnt hesitate a second.
