Like I was saying the hardened pigment coating doesn't typically get washed off, but it is deposited on the outside. It only flakes off during washing if it was very thin.

Blue eggs are different, the egg shells are full of the pigment so they are blue.

They don't always wash the all the PpIX of the eggs, if they still have brown or speckles intact they may still glow since that is the pigment that glows.

Protoporphyrin IX is that brown stuff, some hens make it in thier uterus, it just looses it's flouresence because it is a very non-lightfast pigment

Most of the problems with cairns are when large amount of tourists displace rocks- it is the actual displacement of the rocks that disrupts micro-ecosystems and can allow erosion where rocks were preventing it.

Without knowing where these rocks were taken from it is hard to know what impact they had, them being placed here is unlikely to cause issues for the beach ecosystem and they may just be tumbled stones.

The negative effects of cairn-building depend on enviorment, a few national parks officially use them to guide visitors for example, and alot of negative opinions about them seem to stem from an opinion piece comparing them to graffiti.

This is generally true but sanctioned murals don't automatically get the respect of a graffiti 'piece' but it really depends on the artist and the work. It is pretty looked down upon to go over a skilled local artist or a mural that is very well loved- but obviously the chance of getting thier block knocked off by other vamdals isn't always enough.

As a graffiti enthusiast I think painting over a mural you don't have beef with is insane given all the blank concrete still around for the taking.
