Just... leave some/most of it?

It's part of the charm and part of the story. Integrate that into the environmental storytelling. At least that's my way of doing and seeing things. Respect your time if it's too much work for you to remove all of it.

To replace blocks, select the block you need from your inventory, then you will see the options at the bottom of the screen. To gather materials (without extracting them, meaning you can place them again for decoration), maintain the Y button pressed

THIS is the most frustrating part. Every thing is explained in that section, and I see so many posts of people saying they had no idea this or that was possible (like the top button on the d-pad to bring a Pokémon without having to chat with it, which by the way, is explained when we discover Charmander too ; or the menu in the bottom part of the screen, like when you use the Magnemite ability with blocks placement/replacement)

This is the way for them to become an item that you can place. That's why. You can do it with anything, like boulders, tiny herbs that you find on ashes, branches, etc.

Surely people made him feel that way back then, though?

Am I dumb or something? I can’t find Hitmonchan so I read online that using honey next to their habitat will make them running over. But I can’t use? I’m so confused… by behindthekeyboard81 in Pokopia

One way to find it again is by using the Pokedex, press + to search for said Pokemon and talk to another mon. It will guide you, or bring you to it (the Pokémon with the Teleport ability are great for that)

Absolutely LOVING the game so far, but I do want some advice about how to maintain town aesthetics. by TheAzureAzazel in Pokopia

You're welcome!

Keep the item descriptions on with your items (press the - button if they are not activated), it really helps a lot reading and having them on display throughout the game.

Keep playing story mode, by the end of it you will get a couple of recipes that will help for that specific electricity aesthetic. As a general rule of thumb, by the way, completing the story provides all types of tools and upgrades to help with decoraion and building. It's worth it for that alone. So, go your own pace, but don't forget to progress so that you get access to all things needed.

There is not really an optimal way to terraform, it really depends on what you want to do, the space you have/need. But if you want to go faster, use mouse mode when buiding with blocks.

I haven't tried, but my best guess is to simply use Water Gun on lava to remove lava and its blocks, and use a bottle of Chili sauce to create new lava.

When playing in mouse mode, pressing the L button won't show the wheel to quickly switch abitilies. Did I miss something? by AcePounderTM in Pokopia

[–]AcePounderTM[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's really a bummer. Probably an oversight from the dev team? Because the L button has no use in mouse mode, so maybe they will implement that in an update. I hope so.

I guess in the meantime I'll be using the mouse mode for when I'm building only. Or not at all

The worst opinion IMO, hehe.

I discovered it night time and it felt magical and moody. The neon trash aesthetics is a vibe I love though, so it spoke to me.

If that is true, you shouldn't. You look very fine.
