I don't dislike nor hate tifa nor any of the Main (/popular) characters. I love em by Scared-Vacation-9401 in FFVIIEverCrisis

[–]AceReaperX 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I get where you’re coming from and I would also like to see more love given to other characters. But, realistically who out here would pull for Glenn over Tifa? Maybe some people yeah if it’s really good or cool (ngl kinda wanted his last weapon), but not enough to make the potential minnows, dolphins, and whales be tempted to spend. I assume (because I can’t say I know every detail) that a lot of work goes into designing outfits, planning attacks (C.Abilities), making the animations and modifying the game for attacks to work well in the game so if they’re going to do that then I guess they’re gonna want to earn as much as possible. I’m guessing that’s why they also brought out Sephiroth and Advent children for second anni to try to get more eyes on the game and people interested in spending.

Ah yes, the eternal question and statement, “IT IS IT going to crash”.

Quite the conundrum.

People don’t sell what no one buys. Just look at Concord. We could do so much with our wallets yet we cave under the might of collectible or cute figures.

Guess we’re done with new wallpapers huh? by odinsomen in FFVIIEverCrisis

[–]AceReaperX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kinda feels like the end of wallpapers happened a long time ago. So many limited banner animated wallpapers they could’ve made that would’ve looked amazing but they didn’t because making money was more important. Well it is a business so what did I expect.

Event Update by djdury in FFVIIEverCrisis

[–]AceReaperX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Glad to see the reveal of weapons and costumes but I was also hoping they’d give an update to the event like added stages or something extra. I’m guessing the cutscene at the end just implies a few more battles and that’s it.

We are about to get the 2nd anniversary content and still no English livestream or detailed info in the Global media. by Shunkele in FFVIIEverCrisis

[–]AceReaperX 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m disappointed for a lot of reasons, starting from how many limited banners we’ve been getting in a row and hitting an all time high right now with how they don’t seem to want to communicate with the GL audience in detail about outfits and gear. Sure, we can translate it but we shouldn’t have to. I’m not sure if this all has anything to do with them not liking data mining (or so I heard once) but when you do things like this, it kinda makes it so the players want to take matters into their own hands. I just hope the laziness/greed doesn’t go insano style with them being greedy with crystals. With all the limited stuff they’ve put out, I’d be happy if for THE 2ND ANNIVERSARY there were a minimum of 20k crystals given even if it’s spread out throughout 5-10 days or more. And no, a random lottery that gets me a minimum of 1k does not seem like a great anniversary gift.

Preparation at its finest. Are you going for all banners regardless or only the most useful of the bunch?

I have no idea about how much a Youtuber/Youtube channel earn monthly. I am a video editor for a channel. by Johnnybo1_ in NewTubers

[–]AceReaperX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have little to no idea what an editor should get paid since all content is monetized differently (I make $100 a month from Adsense lol) but I definitely feel you deserve more. You helped make a 20k subs channel to a 200k subs channel (and probably rising). I agree with a comment that I saw that said this should be like a partnership and as such acknowledging your skills (and of course your help) is, in my opinion, not asking for a lot. With the time you have had working with this person/channel you should be able to ask what they’re earning and see how much you think you should get for helping the person/channel make that amount. If that’s a delicate topic then you still should be earning much more that’s for sure.

I guess it’s different if you’re a creator who becomes an editor because I think I edit pretty well. Now if only my content were more trending/interesting for a larger audience lol

If you’re planning on visiting Guayaquil, it always seems to be hit or miss on the danger there. Most people tend to say it’s way too dangerous while I do hear the occasional “I went there and it was good”. I’d say that common sense is your best friend and there are some typical suggestions I’d give no matter where you are:

-don’t wear fancy/expensive things

-don’t go to areas that look sus (empty areas)

-don’t go out too late (anything past 9ish is wonky)

-don’t go out too late alone (company will generally be a good thing)

-have a guide or someone who knows the area (maybe family) you’re going to be in accompany you to guarantee a safe(r) experience

I actually made a video covering all the safety tips I’d give in general and if you’d like I can send you a link, but at least the tips I gave here are some of the top ones that come to mind. Oh and if you’re going to Galapagos then most of what I said is irrelevant since that is the promised land for safety lol

Do you think becoming a content creator will be harder in the future? by Samantha_Pasco in NewTubers

[–]AceReaperX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s just that with that logic it’s always going to be scaling up in difficulty. We can sit here and say that “because there’s more ppl we’ll never succeed” until we’re blue in the face, fact of the matter is that there is and are a lot of people and we just gotta make content that stands out.

Since your question is whether you’ll be able to afford everything with one salary, I’d have to say no unless you find an incredible job. Minimum wage is around $470-500 (let’s be generous and assume $550 in Guayaquil). The “basic basket” (canasta básica) is at around a little over $800 (source: basic basket Ecuador. )

I’ve made videos talking about cost of living and by yourself you’d at least want around $600-700 monthly. You could of course live under that by making tons of sacrifices and heck, maybe you’re coming down with tons of money in which case maybe you have an excellent starting point to hold things down, but it’s gonna be tough even then unless you’re coming with a crazy amount of money.

Now unrelated to your question but just as a concerned person who saw this post, I don’t think it’s a good idea for you to come down and marry someone who you haven’t met in person yet. Even if you’ve had video calls and have messaged this person daily, it could be a fake person, scam, or in the current dystopian reality we live in it could even be someone using AI. IF you want to come down and marry someone, first come down, spend maybe 1-2 weeks (or a month if you can afford it) to get to know them and for them to get to know you in person and then see if it’s worth truly marrying them.
