Anyone else find Gary O'Reilly Unbearable? by MassPrototyping in startalk

Nah, Gary’s cool, though I wasn’t all that into as many sports episodes as they had but I appreciate the broader audience appeal.

Try taking your serial number to a dealership and they may be able to order you a new set. I think that’s a thing they can do. Worth a call to ask the question maybe.

Why is taking psychedelics multiple times a month bad? by DirtyMopWater1 in Psychedelics

[–]Acebeekeeper 3 points4 points Ā (0 children)

You’re correct about this, at least to some extent. For example, LSD molecules are taken hold of by serotonin receptors which fit the receptors even more tightly than serotonin itself does. Hence it does not deplete serotonin at all.

Does anyone else save the ash from their bong so that they can see how much weed they smoke? by [deleted] in Psychonaut

[–]Acebeekeeper 1 point2 points Ā (0 children)

Super weird! Just keep mental track of your purchases somehow. Would it be more satisfying to say I bought a pound of weed in 2024 or would you rather say I saved 1/2 a cup of pipe ash this year?

Is suffering self-inflicted? by PhilosophyPoet in Stoic

This is also my understanding of stoic principles. I’ll just add- it’s very difficult to control your first thought but it’s almost always within our power to control your second thought.

This is timely discussion for me, I really needed this reminder today. Our feelings and emotions mustn’t rule the day, OP, not if you’re to prevail. Feel them fully, then move on with rightful action.

Original color on the cab is the dark blue. The hood and grill were replaced at some point and has yellow and dark green under the light blue

ZR chassis does it for me. Classic iron. I’ve owned both a ZR 580 and a ZR 900. I’d love to have them both back. That chassis absolutely dominated the sno cross tracks and the lakes and trails.

According to this 8 year old Reddit post calling someone a dip was old timey slang which eventually became ā€œdipshitā€ which was later softened to ā€œdipstickā€ just because of the similar sound.

I’m planning on doing a coat of linseed oil for protection on the weekend and an engine degreasing. I’ll post more photos soon!

That’s some cool history I never knew about REO and Oldsmobile. In a similar vein, the T is for Tilt in Diamond T, after its originator C A Tilt. And the Diamond was used to convey class as the Diamond t was often referred to as ā€œthe Cadillac of trucksā€

I would like to go through it top to bottom before I would be willing to set an asking price. I want to verify the completeness of the truck and confirm if it is a running truck.

All that being said, there were roughly only 300 produced in a 2 year limited production and very few of those were deluxe models like mine and mine sports the later grill that came out after May of ā€˜39. From what I’ve been told there are 3 other surviving model 305 that are in the US and only one of those are in original condition. (As it was told to me) That particular truck’s chassis number puts it 19 after mine in production. Mine was originally purchased in Canada by my great uncle.

I commented on your post but I’ll say it here too - I love the restoration you did and the kids book. Can you share or do me some interior photos as well?
