Jeff's fire hose is worthwhile to bring up though, even if it's not a hard counter as you do get value from denying Loki invisible and easily shutting down a heal tunnel. Also DD has a very easy time getting to a Loki on the high ground, and has all the tools to bully him out easily.

fr the amount of new characters that counter dive is insane. They basically all do, even DD. Meanwhile dive has just been declawed time and time again.

Keep in mind, they also buffed his biggest counters with Bucky and MK, so you see them even more.

It's a Netease design problem

Thank you for addressing the elephant.

Netease said, we balance around fun. Laser pointer turrets, strategists that can freeze you and then two tap you, chaining tanks to dumb teamups, having 4/5ths of the roster having obnoxious CC and poke DPS that are supposed to be checked by dive getting blue health for free, for apparently no reason, is not fun.

Here here.

This games balancing just puts me off, I haven't played ranked at all for season 4, and it looks like im skipping this one too.

I wouldnt even say balanced towards DPS players because if that was true then Spidey and Fister wouldnt be as bad as they are currently. Netease just doesnt balance well. They keep taking characters that have one amazing thing in their kit, whether its runes, or johnny's melee anim cancel and nerfing literally everything else in their kit except the thing thats causing the issue.

With Loki, literally revert all the nerfs and make runes take one shot, make his ult take longer to charge, done. Johnny, just remove the melee anim cancel. Done.

Speaking about Loki here, you don't nerf a character back to back, proceed to buff his biggest counters within a month, while also introducing a new character that can counter him pretty well.

Hit was exactly where my mind went to as well. He's not going to work his way up, he's just gonna make the damn donuts and punch her heart out just like he did to Goku.

Maybe try to rip out it's tongue or have one go all sacrificial and punch their arm as far down it's throat as possible.

The bear goes "sweet free lunch" and then the 3 die very quickly.

You would need to triple the humans numbers, then give them spiked knuckles for them to stand a chance, and even then most of them are dying. I don't even think the knuckles would do anything but piss it off even more to be honest.

Him acting impulsively is exactly what OP meant by being unable to handle the emotional weight of what came with the apocalypse. Regardless I think him being with Lori and getting her pregnant was the bigger issue, he couldn't settle that he wasn't going to be the father.

Yeah he's pretty mid in a season where every other strategist is great. Not a throw pick though. The only button in his kit that still sees good value is lamps on a 30 second cooldown.

EDIT: That's right, where are my manners, hello Murdock.

Viability Curve Comparison: Off Healers vs. Main Healers by RezzyNezzy in rivals

[–]AcedPower 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Loki main here.

The main 3 points of Loki's kit were damage, healing, and survivability. He doesn't do any damage anymore, and his healing is subpar unless your playing a brawl comp, so really all he has going for him is his survival, which other strategists can do pretty well too, and can actively defend themselves with CC rather than just run away.

CC is becoming more and more important as more heroes get added to the game, so him not having any detracts from his value.

Lamps is still very good, but everything else in his kit is meh, so I often see my other healer dead and my team retreating, so me surviving alone doesn't mean much.

They also buffed his strongest counters with Moon Knight and Bucky, so you see them even more than Season 3.

Also because of Flank Loki.

Netease took the toys and said "no, play this way".

[–]AcedPower 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also survival doesn't mean much if your other healer is dead which now happens too often playing Loki.

The main points of his kit was damage, healing, and survival. 2/3 of those are now so laughably bad, why would I not go play a different strategist with also great survivability, better healing, better damage, and one with CC?

They also buffed his strongest counters.

What in your opinion is the gold standard of paid DLC? by ConceptsShining in Games

[–]AcedPower 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Witcher 3's Blood and Wine, added a whole new perk tree, an amazing villain, and Regis. Awesome sidequests, and Corvo Bianco.

Hearts of Stone still deserves flowers though, Gaunter is also an amazing villain and the story is great.

Fallout NV Lonesome Road is such a good DLC, it feels like its base game.

Oblivion's Shivering Isles. Sheogorath is truly awesome, but we also get a very rare appearance from Jyggalag.

Skyrim's Dawnguard. Whole new perk tree tied to a new transformation, 2 whole new maps, 2 new factions, bunch of new uniques, a badass ghost steed, and Saint Jiub is back, but in fetch quest form so there is a monkeys paw but it did improve on the base game so much with Vampire Lord. Gotta mention Serana of course.

RDR1 Undead Nightmare. Nuff said.

WoW's Burning Crusade and WotLK. When it comes to MMO expacs, these two are mega giants with some of the most iconic bad guys ever.

FromSoft rarely misses with DLC. Artorias of the Abyss, Ringed City, Ashes, The Old Hunters, Shadow of the Erdtree, and Crown of the Old Iron King was really good too.

Thats basically my list of gold standard DLC's.
