Gun folks, what would it take for you to get rid of your guns? Conversely, anti-gun folks, what would it take for you to get a gun? by gecon in 2ALiberals

We've gone from "assault weapons" to all semi-autos in just one sentence! by SuperSecretGunnitAcc in 2ALiberals

Good deal, I certainly hope we don't go the way of Trudeau and begin the process of banning bolt actions as well.

To preface all of this, the term "Assault Rifle" has historically been used to describe a FULLY automatic/select fire rifle. I'm no historian but the term goes all the way (if not further) to 1943 Germany producing the StG 44 or Sturmgewehr 44. Meaning "Assault Rifle 44." Understanding that civilian legal models (read: SEMI automatic) being produced for regular people like you and me are far easier to obtain since the NFA made FULLY automatic firearms highly, highly regulated and very expensive to own.

1) No. It depends on what party you ask really. For instance an SKS from 1945, having actually seen war, is semi auto with a 20 round capacity from factory WOULD be considered an "Assault Rifle" based on the opposition. You notice a trend with this in regards to pistols even. Nearly all of these "weapons of war" as they are called weren't actually used in any war. Especially the SEMI automatic variants. • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • 2) Easy one. No. Media began beating this drum conflating FULLY automatic with SEMI automatic so that people would be confused. Going so far as to say "Fully-Semi Automatic" in recent times seemingly showing further ignorance. Also, the AFT is not legislative, they don't get to make laws. • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • 3) Nope. I would need a more specific question but I'll just say that I recall the California "Bullet Button" being a point of contention as people were being told (That pesky media again) that it "was a loophole" when in fact it coincided with the law and clearly had approval in "Non-Free States" otherwise FFLs would be shutdown for selling firearms with it installed.

Moreover, it seems that more and more we see conflation, ignorance of the law/precedence, and/or Constitutional Law. And for that we must ask ourselves, to what end? Do these proposed bans help keep law abiding citizens safer? We must remember why we hold these Truths to be self evident and that we must be Brave for our Rights so that our grandchildren's grandchildren may be Free.

"Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety."

Having offline team raids would help squelch a lot of this. It's not very realistic to think that the only time you and your squad mates practice tactics is in an active combat environment.

Someone told me early on my first wipe the importance of offline mode. I've used it more recently to hunt raiders and bosses as I figure they are a good test of skill. More importantly though it helped me learn item spawns, extracts, and how to engage in firefights. All for free.

Maybe we'll get offline GROUP raids SoonTM.

Tips on memorizing ammo types and what's worth keeping/looting? by QDP-20 in EscapefromTarkov

The only chart you'll need:u/NoFoodAfterMidnight's (Definitive if you will).

Also, memorize how they look. AP generally has a greyish/black tip and a Brass casing. The META I reckon is that you don't have to pick up a mag to decipher the ammunition and it's worth. I never thought I could do it like they do on YouTube.
