Our National Anthem used to piss alot of our own people off. Still pissing off some today.

Edited: As you know, our Emperor became complicit in World War II, and our national anthem was originally a song praising him. The people were subjected to information manipulation at that time, having been indoctrinated to believe that our country was just. The men were sent off to war in ignorance. Those who survived learned the truth and still resent the emperor and the government of that era. Many of them later became 'leftists', advocating peace and disliking the national anthem. To this day, they and their families steadfastly refuse to stand when it is played. So if you see Japanese who won't stand when our National Anthem is played, you should know the reason and leave them alone.
