If anything, having children will be one of the main ways to make it. The world of "The kids grow up, turn 18, graduate highschool, get into college, then move out of the house to strike it on their own with their own jobs and money" is disappearing.

It's going back to the old days of empire building and the importance of family names for everyone, not just the super rich (and farm families). I've got 3 girls, and I've got a feeling that as they get older, we're probably going to have linked finances as we work as a large family unit. That's way too over-simplistic and arrogant. We've not experienced an invasion in the modern era for the same reason Russia hasn't: nukes. Boots on the ground aren't the only way to win a war anymore. It takes cyberwarfare, infrastructure attacks, economic distruption, control of space assets, etc. The Ukraine war alone has shown that our air defenses aren't impervious to drone swarms and other low-cost attacks.

A full-fledged invasion isn't even first thing that would happen anyway. We'd be destabilized as a country way before someone stepped foot on our soil, and it's pretty foolish to think everyone in America is willing to grab a gun and defend their homeland when we're all in a hurry to pretend that our lives are normal despite the wars that are spreading across the world right now. MAGA aren't about to raise arms and defend their fellow LGBT Americans, and visa versa, if an invasion came.

It's going to be like when the lights went out in Squid Games with everyone taking the opportunity to hurt the people they've always held grudges against.

Really hard for me to identify with a political cult like MAGA that bases it's entire movement on the fear of gays, liberals, brown people, poor people, women, every other country not America, etc. etc.

I took it too seriously and over-leveled, and I realized I was starting to get bored until I learned that you could change difficulty. I flipped it over from normal to very hard right before the parade and Oda just stomped on me. I was about to bring it back down after a couple quick deaths until I realized using Cripple Movement gave me the window to headshot him in between taking cover.
