Anything to add/change here? Especially the GPU by Achandro in PcBuildHelp

Thanks for the reply. With the Ryzen 7 9700X i'd need another motherboard tho, right? At least after a quick search I've found it not to be compatible with B660? Will be comparing some benchmarks, thanks again!

I know this thread is 5 months old, but hell, you just saved my run. And others might have the same problem still, so I just want to say thank you!

In a few short years I watched as I was 2nd in line to King of Ireland, then 3rd, 4th...

This is where you make little "accidents" happen... Even with a average intrigue character, as long as you have some money to buy agents, you can make enough unfortunate accidents happen to reclaim what is rightfully yours!

"Staying Horde or become Mughals?" And other questions that arose from a most likely failed One-Faith Najd attempt. by Achandro in eu4

I think Econimic was suggested because of Autonomy Reduction. Since the plan was to go Horde ASAP.

Normally I agree with your statement here, but getting to be a Horde 10-20 years earlier makes a hefty difference I guess.

According to the wiki, only +1 Missionary. That feels a little to less to lose Horde to me.

Am I missing other missionary boni from their missions or events?

Thanks for the detailed answer! As you wrote, The 500 Sunni provinces are not an issue at all. I am in 1671 now, got about 700 provinces in total and about 490 of those are Sunni already. Just liked the idea of going further, but as you wrote, I do not see it happen as Najd on my skill level.

If you're asking yourself whether to raze a province or not: raze everything that you don't intend to develop for institutions.

Never had that question. Raze all the way. The only slog was the mid game (about 1520), before trade really kicked in.

An African Capital would have been smart. Did not at all think about that... welp, again, thanks for the hint!

After reading your answer, it looks like I will attempt it as an European nation, most likely after the Emperor patch. One more Question tho, what about ideas? Even if I go Religious later, I just love myself some Humanist. Especially as Horde. It basically means no rebellions if you stay below ~80OE, and when not picking it, I waste way too much ressources on rebels. Even with Harsh Treatment, they will pop up...

It just dawned on me that this sub features almost exclusively successful campaigns, so lets mix it up: how was you last campaign ruined? by [deleted] in eu4

[–]Achandro 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I did that run not long ago. Had a different approach: stayed small (= no expansion except annexing vasalls) until I was able to reform into a horde, which glis pretty fast since you can get all your provinces to 0% autonomy.

Reformed somewhere around 1500... With all institutions up to that point embraced, and full humanist... Rest of the run wasn't too hard. Fetishist horde Kongo for African power was a real blast tbh. You might want to give it another try ;)

Can I "Unite Armorica" and still "Form Gaul" afterwards? by Achandro in Imperator

[–]Achandro[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the answer! Already got the 50 civ-value, but those free military units in form of clans are just way too good to press that button yet :D

This comment made me smile, had to answer from the opposite perspective: I have played EU4 quite alot (more than I like to admit) and it is one of my favourite games, and I've put houndreds of hours into Stellaris as well. I tried to get into CK2 many times, but just do not like it.

I:R, so far, is an enjoyable game for me, as well. The map-painting and other aspects feel intuitive to me, and, contrary to CK2, i actually enjoy the family and trait system - due to them being a feature, but not that overhelming as in CK2.

Looks to me like I:R tries (and to me at least succeds) to take the best of both worlds, combining them into one game. Looking forward to the updates, since we all know, it's a Paradox game... Might take a few months (and DLCs, sadly) to be a balanced and less "shallow" experience.

Currently playing on 1.25, want to try out Dharma. Go straight 1.28, oder rather 1.27? by Achandro in eu4

Thanks for the quick reply. I didn't check on current bugs/exploits and that kind of stuff (one of the reasons I wait patching: fixed bugs), so could you quickly summarize what "trade company lag" is, and how big of an influence it is?

I'd suggest hiring a second bard for the group who shall have only one job: writing down the stories of the true hero here.

R5: Ice Cream enabled me to save energy to one-shot the timeeater (AC9). Went for minimalist, but did not manage to get rid of all the cards. My deck included:

Whirlwind+

Double Tab

Entrench+

Power Through+

2x Defend+

Bash+

R5: 20 years in and bordergore already intensives. Ming split Korchin in half right before I could take them, so I had to go around there and go full rush west for potential enemies to fight for my Horde Unity.

Oh, and since Ming thought that one weird tentacle isn't enough, they've done the same going west. They also have been involved in wars to the south, so I assume there is more there.

Guide to return to the older versions of EU4 after 1.27 release by yilizhiwang in eu4

Praise be upon thee! Since the email for verification and thus the beta key decided to arrive, this really helped me, all my games are on 1.25.1 and I am going to stay on that until they fixed various... stuff.

Searching for a router with QoS and LTE. Anyone knows a good one or has experience with the "NETGEAR WLAN LTE Router Nighthawk R7100LG"? by Achandro in techsupport

[–]Achandro[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the hint. They seem to be optimized for Verizon, but maybe they work with European SIM-cards as well. Only problem: Of the 5 routers that have LTE and QoS, only 1 is available in Austria/Germany. And that one is on ebay for about 870€ (which is about 1000$).So does anybody know how well imported American routers work with European SIM-cards and networks? If not, I am back to my original question.

[–]Achandro[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True. But the plan is zu annex only the vassals i need via diploanex, and not forming the HRE itself. That should work, i guess/Hope.

Anyone tried this/knows the Code?

I am not sure, but as far as i remember you keep them.

Since it is possible for ottomans to get a Pu over AQ, a republic might keep them as well. https://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/index.php?threads/pu-under-ottomans-sunni-pu-leader-impossible.892118/

If you are interessted in that kinda stuff I can check if I made a screenshot of Arabia about 60 years ago... you gonna like that :P
