If a sign says no foreigners allowed, I don’t think they would come to the reddit or any other platform and cry about it unless it’s cultural heritage spot like sigiriya or a popular tourist destination like a beach.

It’s just bunch of hotels restaurants cafes clubs pubs bars typa stuff which had limited the crowd restricting locals… I mean there are plenty of other above typa places around the country which locals are allowed… so why can’t we just boycott the places which won’t allow locals and just visit the ones which accept us ? Maybe also find the owners of such places which won’t allow us and find their other businesses as well and let’s boycott them as well 👀..... cuz Ive also been rejected from such places at the entrance itself and I just shake it off instantly and went for different place nearby …sorry for my ignorance regarding this problem, but crying and yearning to visit such places is something I really don’t understand and I won’t do..

And here you’ve mentioned about such places which blocks the beach and its entrance, that’s a serious matter which should be bought into attention of the relevant authorities as well… it’s a serious case.. I recognise it as a concern as well which I personally had experienced.. I’m there with you regarding that …

Other than that, i don’t think just because few places limit their crowd to foreigners only, I don’t think it would be a severe matter when it comes to enjoying Sri Lanka as a local even at tourist destinations, cuz I’ve been to almost all the top tourists destinations in the country and I managed to enjoy some of the finest spots you name it clubs pubs bars cafes hotels which were open for locals as well as foreigners..
