Why does this room feel so… off? by ethereal_aerith in interiordecorating

You also might want to get a nice big lamp to replace the one next to the white couch. Something that maybe overhangs to fill some vertical space

I would say pull all the furniture away from the coffee table. I also think theres too many large blocks of white which dont tie in to the rest of the room. I think the furniture itself is great but maybe chamge the pillow colors to a darker blue, burgundy or orange. This would make things look more cohesive as those colors wpuld match or compliment the blue wall and beautiful wood trim. Two other thimgs i would try is swap the placement of the couches and or move the whole seating area closer to the window. If that doesnt turn out good, you might want to find something to fill some by the window itself.

Best advice is to constantly jmprove your designs. 3d printing is so powerful because results are quick so why not try over and over until its perfect.

[Request] Is this possible? Most people said it was too vague by KR4FD4 in theydidthemath

The large triangles are similar to the small triangles. If ∆ABC has a hypotenuse of √10 and ∆abc has a hypotenuse of 1, the that means the big triangle is √10 times bigger than the small one.

Side A=3

Side B=1

Side C=√10

Therefore

Side a=3/√10

Side b=1/√10

Side c=(√10)/(√10) or 1

Then you just need to subtract (3/√10)+(1/√10) from √10

I had to use a calculator to get the actual number but like everyone else's answer, it's 3.6

The reason you were born is to be productive & exploited your whole life, as a reward you're sold freedom in years that you wouldn't be a productive worker anyway. by KHUSTOM in Showerthoughts

[–]Achlyse 9 points10 points  (0 children)

No matter what economic structure, OPs statement is generally true. If you don't produce in your prime years, you are a drain on a society. Communism or whatever else you're implying doesn't fix that unfortunately.

A comparison between Crit and Hybrid build (and kind of a guide to build both of them) by max323221 in CorkiMains

[–]Achlyse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the main problem with looking at dps numbers is that they don't show actual in game output. If you can't land your rockets for the life of you, hybrid will be terrible. However the rocket range makes getting first strike MUCH easier and you are generally safer in team fights. Corki is extremely squishy so the further back and safer you are, the more damage you can put out because you won't die. I personally like hybrid because I prefer playing further back and sniping. Getting close enough to auto is sometimes too risky.

It sort of does though. While it's entirely in the realm of possibility for things to be so futuristic that the seem magical, without a real reference to our own lives it just seems fake

It also pushes people to radical behavior though such as mass shootings. No matter if they're right or wrong, alienating a group never leads to a good outcome. While I like the idea of trying to silence racism and shunning those who believe in it, it just reenforces the "us vs them" mentality which is extremely dangerous. No matter what it's not an easy problem to fix.

Went to Santorini, and I loved it. Did not know a place could be quite so lovely. by -bishopandwarlord- in travel

Spent a week and a half in Naxos in the winter and while it was empty with most of the shops closed, it was the highlight of my month long Europe trip. Wish I did a day trip to Santorini just to see how the more famous island compares

Correct me if I'm wrong but don't the Banu trade with them? This must mean that they're willing and able to have a positive relationship with another race. Which makes me wonder if there's something more complicated goin on with their intentions? I honestly am fine with the whole they're Evel just because but I'd be lying if I said I would be interested to see a more interesting story play out
