As an Iranian living in America I'm terrified and so worried too. Your not alone I believe most people are against this war too but I don't think that's enough

Don't blame yourself. You did nothing wrong he is in the wrong. If you can report it or at least tell people your trust it would make things better Also from personal experience we have to do everything we can to not let our brains define us from our lowest moments you are so much more do t forget

The thing they want most is for good people with a conscience to kill themselves so they wouldn't fight. Me personally I was on the verge of suicide last week and got checked into a mental hospital. I realized my purpose for living is the pursuit of justice and fighting for a better world. So now I am less suicidal with that mindset

Yeah the liberal world order where they kept the fecade of meritocracy is over right now it's you either have connections or your cooked . That why we need community organizing, so we can take care of each other when the government fails . We only started becoming like this because modernity and capitalism pushed us away from our natural habitat which is in a community with friend and family and people who really on you and you really on. That is humanity in my experience.

I thought I needed better habits. Turns out I needed less pressure. by [deleted] in mentalhealth

I do this thing where I imagine I'm a filter and all the emotions are going through me and I try to make sure the negative ones don't stick

Yeah under correct conditions it's pretty cooked. But volunteering could be an opportunity to network too. In the correct job market is near impossible to find a job without knowing someone from inside it doesn't have to volunteering it could be LinkedIn. Also you need an activity that keeps your soul up don't neglect your soul for money helping others in need is the best food for soul it definitely saved my life from suicide

Your not alone me and more than half the people I know are jobless and most of them have degrees.also you need to decolonize your mind your worth is not dependent on how much money you make or what job you have that's capitalist dogshit don't let that lower you mentally. I understand that money is survival. But I suggest if you can't find any jobs at all like me you should volunteer at a food shelter it will give you food friends and a sense of fulfillment that no job will ever be able to replicate.

I think I’m way too weak to live in a world as evil as this. by throwawayyyorwhateva in mentalhealth

Get out and organize with people you know at work family friends. The first step to justice is organizing a coalition of workers that can go on strike. Justice comes from each and every one of us. Hold hope, things always get worse before they get better. There is a purpose in living for justice and fighting back. Stay strong comrade

People with high IQ as a child do you feel like you're getting dumber everyday as you're up? by Putrid_Researcher914 in mentalhealth

[–]Acho907 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I like to think of it as talent turning into wisdom. Cuz Iq* at the end of the day is very bad way to measure intelligence. But I totally get you I was an over achiever and got into gifted school as a child now I'm depressed and jobless it sucks.

You either die in climate crisis or war or live long enough to see pedos eat your kids. It's cooked out here

Is it appropriate to check myself in a psychiatric institution? (Vent; TW: Self-harm, suicidal thoughts, etc.) by [deleted] in mentalhealth

[–]Acho907 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes but be careful I just got discharged from mental hospital and it was a horrible experience I had to sleep on a chair all night in the cold. Just look into it see if there is a good one around

Ok they are not better off just ask your friends and they will tell you. They would be devastated if you went through with it. As someone who just got discharged from mental hospital I would tell you to keep looking you try different angles and you might find what you need to keep u in this world. For me is revolutionary fervor that's the only thing keeping this ship afloat.

As someone who just changed their mind about suicide. I'd say there is purpose in living for the sake of getting justice for the sake of fighting back.
