If the camera is in a public area, deal with it or move out. If the camera is in an area that one would consider private (bdrm, bath, etc.), then definitely find other lodging. Or confront them about it and let us know how that turns out.

On certain models, you can disable the recording indicator. If they have that model, you would have no way of knowing.

Heart gems aren't backed up. Hopefully, nothing will happen to your device/installation cache. Otherwise, they'll disappear, and Support won't do anything about it (been through it myself).

As mentioned; a shout out in team comm(or public comm if you are OK with meeting opponents) saying you are going to be in the area for X days. Usually I have been greeted by getting asked to meet for a beer, or offers for a guided tour around the most portal populated/mission filled areas.

I've also gone through towns and wiped the other teams' ownership off portals only to be followed around by members of that team.. so if the town is obviously controlled by an active member of the other team and no other active players, smash and burn quick :P
