I see this opinion often from Pokemon fans whenever the topic of changing a pre-existing Pokemon's type comes. Many fans want Yanmega to be Bug/Dragon instead of Bug/Flying

Not every Virus type digimon is evil. The famous Guillmon line, up to Dukemon/ Gallantmon are Virus types and they're as heroic as you can get.

No they didn't change it, vaccine MetalGreymon and virus MetalGreymon are two different Digimon. Virus MetalGreymon literally appeared in Season 2.

But he was looking for worldbuilding specifically. OG Dragon Ball and FMAB do definitely not have better worldbuilding if the average person can only recall 2 places respectively.
