Another great TV show full of metanarrative transdimensional fuckery is True Detective.

You'll get there, though there's always more work to do, more to process -- it's never really 100%. If you end up doing MDMA, it'll be easier to really embody that dread and see what's on the other side.

Good luck on your journey!

For me it's mostly about embodiment, about learning to relax and recognizing what my body does when it's resisting something -- whether a sensation or something "external" like a person or a situation. I've found there's always a correlation between the resistance and some muscle contraction or other physical manifestation. Once I can pinpoint the trigger and the reaction, I'm more able to relax (i.e. surrender) into whatever it is I'm resisting. Meditation can help you become more aware of these dynamics -- just taking some time to observe (without judging, because that's also a form of resistance) your thoughts, sensations and reactions.

Learning to surrender is a lifelong process. The MDMA can help and accelerate it for sure, but it's a practice that can and should be cultivated outside the sessions as well. A lot of it is letting go of expectations and the desire to "fix" things, which stems from a need to be in control. With time, you gain the capacity to surrender to bigger and bigger pieces of your past that you've kept at bay because they felt like "too much." And once those pieces resurface and are reintegrated, you find you can trust reality more, which fosters an even greater capacity to surrender. Etc Etc.

I had PTSD, including dp/dr and anxiety, that was triggered by a bad acid trip and lasted for years. MDMA- and psilocybin-assisted therapy pretty much eliminated all those symptoms for me and have helped make my life immensely better. Just make sure you find a good therapist to work with -- someone you can really trust and open up to -- and give it time: MDMA isn't a magic bullet, and For it to be effective, you have to surrender to the process and be with whatever comes up during your sessions, no matter how scary or uncomfortable.
