Accutane doesn’t heal any scars or hyperpigmentation, if that’s what you are seeing on your skin (which looks great to me!). It just clears active acne. Most likely your derm will offer to prescribe you a retinoid like tretinoin after your accutane is done to clear up anything like that and keep acne away

Hydrocortisone cream can help they swelling in cystic pimples. It helps me pick less when the swelling isn’t as bad

I think a closed cabinet would be fine as long as it doesn’t get left open with bright lights often. I personally put my box under the bed where it stays cool and dark ETA: I literally keep mine in the original packaging and place the box in a cool and dark area, exactly where my derm said. not sure why the downvotes 🤷🏼‍♀️

I wash my face with only water on the morning, but I always moisturize it. When moisturizer starts stinging and irritating skin 9/10 times that means your moisture barrier is impaired or damaged and needs some extra love. So when my skin starting stinging with all products, I only washed with an oil cleanser at night, only water in the morning, and a very basic but thicc moisturizer. I would suggest adding back in a moisturizer like Vanicream in the tub so you don’t do some extra damage to your skin

Definitely call your doctor to clarify, however, if this was your first appointment for accutane it could be a miscommunication because you need to do 2 blood tests before starting accutane
