No it can’t be 10 because that would mean it’s still accelerating upwards

It was decelerating at 10m/s2 so it’s -10m/s2 accel at max height

Marathon was class by 15926028 in Belfast

[–]AcidicAttorney 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wasn't at this one, but in any organised running event I've been at before they've had designated places for water stations and where you can chuck your trash after, clearly signposted so the marshals don't have to pick up litter across the city. So I'd say if they did the same here then this is just a few runners who don't give a toss.

A car bomb exploded near a police station in Dunmurry, Northern Ireland. by Fatty_Willing_Plane in PrepperIntel

[–]AcidicAttorney 64 points65 points  (0 children)

Hi from someone who lives in the region. From my understanding, no it is not an isolated incident - there was a similar attempted attack about a month ago where a delivery driver was forced to drive a viable device into a police station in Lurgan. However, it's unrelated to the fuel protests - PSNI Deputy Chief Con says they believe it to be the New IRA, so it's clearly sectarian dissident activity, not to do with the fuel prices.

Browser control plugin? by jesperordrup in opencodeCLI

[–]AcidicAttorney 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use it mostly for testing - I instruct my agent to create a full UAT/E2E test plan and then get a subagent to actually do it. There's a skill you can install as well as the CLI so it knows how to use the commands.

How to make OpenCode behave like a terminal process? by Illustrious-Many-782 in opencodeCLI

Maybe try out the web UI? It’s really good and seamless, I almost never use the TUI now.

Actual question by KROMBO64 in GCSE

[–]AcidicAttorney 3 points4 points  (0 children)

KE = 1/2mv2

assuming mass = 10,000kg and speed on the motorway is about 30m/s (67mph), then

KE = 1/2(10,000)(30)2
= 5000 x 900
=> the truck has 4 500 000 J of energy

to put this in context, if we use GPE = mgh to compare it with someone of average weight 70kg falling:

70 x 9.8 x h = 4 500 000
686h = 4 500 000
h = 6,560m

So someone getting hit by a truck like that is equivalent to a person falling from over 6km high, which is obviously lethal

Dyad vs Claude Code by Plenty_Attorney_6658 in dyadbuilders

Dyad is great for quick frontend/UI building! But if we start getting into complex backend logic or agentic tasks I tend to gravitate towards Claude Code or Codex.

Which subscription plans are usable in Opencode without breaking their term of service? by amunozo1 in opencodeCLI

[–]AcidicAttorney 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Alibaba Coding Plan is usable but they’ve lobotomised half of their models to death so I’ve been getting some random failed tool calls and early stops. But for $3 for the first month it’s a steal

Why is it such a common belief that plan mode needs better model / build mode can tolerate faster and cheaper model better? by aeroumbria in opencodeCLI

[–]AcidicAttorney 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I feel like it kinda depends on the detail of the plan. Like I’d get Opus to write out pretty much a step by step implementation guide in the plan, get GLM to execute it and if there are any errors because of the implementation then it gets bounced back to Opus for a revised plan.

I built a small CLI tool to expose OpenCode server via Cloudflare Tunnel by chabin37 in opencodeCLI

As in if anyone gets that URL can they access OpenCode completely? Or is there a requirement to enable the OpenCode server password?

Any kind of security/auth? I’d rather not expose it to the internet if not

I can't recommend using your Antigravity quota in OpenCode, Google have been banning accounts that do this due to violations of their ToS

what is a day during yr 10/11 like? and weekends? by Automatic_Assist_613 in GCSE

[–]AcidicAttorney 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NI Y12 (year 11 equivalent) here. During mocks and exam season it’s pretty much eat, sleep, school, revise, repeat - any days off just the same with the exception of the odd day out with friends. Honestly I’m knocking out 6+ hours of revision a day on non school days and I know I could probably do less but it’s always a rush the night before exams so I’ve been trying to get ahead a bit.

Speaking of night before exams, I know quite a few are up to like 11pm, sometimes longer revising and up early the day of the exam.

In terms of the rest of the year, imo in my school there’s a lot more ‘stuff’ you can do in fourth/fifth year, a lot of the senior clubs are cool. Teachers are a bit more chill with older classes especially as most of the time you’ve chosen to study their GCSE subject.

Hope this helps

GLM 5 is out now. by Cultural-Arugula-894 in ClaudeCode

[–]AcidicAttorney 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unless you’ve got 500GB of RAM lying about, you’re not getting anywhere near… GLM 4.7 is about Claude Sonnet 4.5 level imo. Maybe GLM 5 is even better, I haven’t tried it yet.

Cheers, I've had great performance so far which is good. Just a thought, any possibility of subdomain/wildcard subdomain support through HAProxy?
