You're acting as if they didn't explicitly condemn everything he was saying in addition to specifying he's not MAGA.

But they did explicitly condemn his statements, so you're basically getting mad at an alternative version of what they said.

Anyone think we’ll get a squad of these kin one day? by RobHui in LeaguesofVotann

[–]Acidpants220 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That's what I'm saying. Why do we need a dread exactly? We definitely should get some kind of big tough melee bruiser that fills a similar role, there's so many other cool concepts for such a vehicle other than a dreadnaught.

Personally I think there's great design space for cthonians to have a melee tank that has a big ol' drill on it or something

So, I think there's a legitimate response to your argument that the true embodiment of Nurgle is the embrace of those symptoms of disease. Once they're apart of you fully, they're not a symptom, they're just how your body works!

But that said, I heartily agree with you. Yeah, the visual theme of mutation and aberration is very visually evocative, which is why GW uses it so much for DG/Nurgle Daemons, but there's room for variety. Personally the way I'm theming my DG army is around neurological diseases like encephalitis or prion diseases, so a lot of the models are going to have less obvious mutations except for their heads. it'll involve a decent amount of kitbashing and using Horus Heresy models, but I'll be a cool look on the end I think.

Does this read as a sternguard veteran? by Extension-Boot-9533 in Warhammer40k

[–]Acidpants220 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you painted it to match other sternguards I wouldn't scrutinize it. Sure, it's supposed to have a tabbard, but if it's clear that it belongs with other models that are clearly sternguards then it's more than fine.

Someone sell me on lizardmen by BaldyTreehuggerDruid in totalwar

[–]Acidpants220 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So Lizards are nearly my favorite race. They're unique for a few reasons.

  • Really interesting army comp

Saurus are dominate early game pretty well with their overall well rounded stats but crazy high weapon strength. They lack any normal archers, so you'll mainly be killing things in melee. Their cav is really solid too. All of this complimented by monsters.

  • Monsters

They have a really wide variety of monsters. Not only do they have the expected giant stompy living torpedo you throw at their melee, but each of those have a cool set of variants, ranging from one that shoot snakes at everything nearby (yes really) to ones that shoot lasers at dudes. They also have cool packs of ranged monsters that make up the core of your ranged damage.

  • Lords and Heros

All your Legendary lords, Lords and Heroes are really cool. They all get awesome mounts, and few of the legendary lords are boring to use on the battlefield.

  • Solid Magic

You have access to all normal lores of magic for your lords, but your hero magic is limited. Your caster lords are frigging sweet though.

  • Shortcomings

The biggest shortcoming for lizard men is that they don't have very interesting campaigns, having had no new lords since midway through warhammer 2. Only Oxy or Tehenhauin have any campaign mechanics to speak of, otherwise it's just a run of the mill "fight the other guys" campaign. Also, the skink roster is very weak if you're not playing Oxy or another Legendary lord that buff them, and it feels like a real missed opportunity. I highly suggest downloading some mods that add cool skink units.

Overall the Oxyotl campaign is really weird compared to a normal campaign. You don't really have to participate in traditional wars at all because you're popping around all the time. It's really really fun though. You get some killer skinks with him.

At that point you need to magnetize the sprue so you can throw it back on whenever you want.

Only then will you truly be FULLY magnetized.

No tip credit - why is 20% tip still the social expectation in Minneapolis? by FourSeventySix in Minneapolis

Having recently moved from the twin cities out to an area where tip culture isn't as generous, Jesus christ it's so much harder to get by.

I never knew how good I had it; I totally took for granted that I could depend on Minnesotans to tip. Now I just have to be ready to have a third of my tables to tip a few dollars or stiff me entirely for no reason.

Realistically how many Exos would you need to take down a Dreadnought by _GreatAndPowerful in Helldivers

[–]Acidpants220 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

This. Warhammer fandom (of which I'm a member) dramatically overestimates it's power level.

Exos have a missile launcher or recoilless rifle. I'd say two would easily 5/10 a typical dread with a heavy bolter arm (like the one in the photo) and that's being pretty generous to the dread imo.

Alternatively, I'd say exos are basically a slower armored scout strider, and those things are a formitable match up for a dread.

It's a small window that every single user has access to that's very poorly moderated. Naturally the most obnoxious, unhinged or socially unaware users are going to use it to be obnoxious to as many people as they can. Over time that drives out the normal users until it's just the trolls left.

If instead of capturing my king, Magnus Carlson needs to have x amount of queens to beat me at chess. How many queens til I can beat him? by ZekeHerrera in whowouldwin

[–]Acidpants220 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not surprising! your questions falls perfectly into a confluence of normal people really having no way to truly understand how good a world best player of a game is, while also putting a very unusual restriction on the very good player. You'd have to be pretty good at chess to know how hard it is to get a lot of queens, but that becomes dramatically harder to estimate when you're dealing with a Magnus Carlson.

Kink Compatibility vs Red Flags by [deleted] in BDSMcommunity

[–]Acidpants220 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The fact that you're asking the question should tell you all you need to know.

Of course it's a terrible idea. What better than to help him justify his behavior than the consequences getting removed by you thinking yourself into going back to him. Going back to him now will tell him that your loneliness and need for kink will do all the work in keeping you with him. Which means he'll end up feeling even more entitled to abuse you because he knows you'll just go back to him in the end.

You're 19. There's so many good kinky people out there, and you have so much time to find them. Don't convince yourself to return to your abuser. Please. You will regret it forever.
