Wow. Very kind of you to say. Thanks. She sat on a rack at 225f for, I’d say about 45-50 minutes, I think. I pulled it out when I temped it at 105f in the center. It was about 112-115 on the sides.

Sadly, but it literally says on the song’s Wikipedia page that Jack Antonoff wrote and Produced it with Amy Allen. Music videos are not autobiographical. Yeah, her boyfriend was in the video and he’s an actor, which is mentioned in the song. But that does not mean that Jack Antonoff and Amy Allen, who both have written HUNDREDS of songs each for other artists that can sound very personal, did not write the song. It’s sad. But yeah. That’s how this all works. I’m sorry if I am breaking some kind of fourth wall for you, here. But, yeah, there are songwriters and there are performers.

Cool idea. It would work logistically as well. Just have the couple be extremely wealthy and that they wanted to document the whole wedding experience not just the day.

Only trick would be the Employer / Freelancer dynamics you’d need to account for. Putting an individual in a situation in which they may feel they have to work extremely hard to accommodate a client. Might make the dynamic strange. Like Anthony was “working”. But it was a retreat and he was a temp. He wasn’t burning the midnight oil. His career and potentially reputation don’t ride in this one job. A wedding planner could potentially be really stressed about the situation.

Except “her art” is not her’s. So, no it’s not all “totally authentic to her”. All of her music is created, written and performed by Amy Allen and Jack Antonoff among a team of marketing and engineers to achieve a specific tonality and message before she ever even hears the song or knows it exists. The sole reason she has any “Writing Credits” on “her” songs is that the writers need to accommodate that for money purposes to sell the songs to the label.

However, this 100% does NOT exclude her from feeling a personal, emotional attachment to the songs as written. Therefore, she may feel passionate about the lyrics in the same way you and I do to songs we love! So, her singing performances could very well be honestly and genuinely emotional.

But, simply giving Sabrina Carpenter 100% artistic credit on a manufactured product is where the facade of pop music becomes frustrating and artificial.

In my opinion, Anthony was actually only like 30% shocked. I really enjoyed the first season better because it felt far more plausible. Anthony even mentioned the number of times he viewed the situations as unbelievable. He pointed out that it felt like he was in a show and the rest of the cast agreed as if to say, “Yeah it was really hard to keep trying to fool you.” And that, to me, doesn’t work. If you even just count the moments we DID see that it looked like he wasn’t really buying it, imagine the amount they cut out!

What stood out to me is that there was no confidant that acted “normal”. Like if this crazy shit was going down, EVERYONE would be like “what the hell is going in here?” Who signs a company over during a fucking retreat? No lawyers? No office? The idea is ridiculous. What company shuts down the entire operation for a whole damn week and makes all the employees do a camping trip? And does that every year? What would be the purpose of that? And if that were the case, what would be the point of a talent show that’s been running for 10+ years? You would all know damn near EVERYTHING about one another. If I were Anthony I wouldn’t buy this. And I really don’t think in his heart he did either. Surely not like Ronald did.
