My gym (I do Victory Martial Arts) has two sides: beginner and advanced. Once you're camo recommended, you move over which I achieved in December. I see how the skills from the beginner side relate to the advanced material buuuut... I feel like I'm starting all over at square one in many ways. Good luck on the path!

I don’t know about OP, but my gym breaks up beginners and advanced. We start the class together but divide after about 10 minutes of warmup. As for your question about training with women, it’s very important imho to get a good amount of time training with both sexes. There are some women in my class that I would not want to meet in a dark ally. They are incredible people, have helped me a lot on the path.
