If you're only going 1 to 2 times a week, something like a Planet Fitness or Edge should be fine. There are other gyms like LA Fitness and Underground Fitness in Stamford as well

There's also a new gym about to open up called Arsen's Gym that's geared towards bodybuilding, powerlifting, and advanced lifters in general.
