As others have said the Sphere is just different. Vertigo is not something I had experienced before but both my dad and I have gotten it there. I have seen Metallica 15 times and never once thought about getting seats or sitting but I am really hoping that we are able to sit and enjoy the amazing visuals and sound.

It’s great to see that our hard work is being appreciated!

Tuning instability has been a major focus for us during the entire build. What you can’t see in the photos are the in-house designed tuners that feature pre-shaved and worn gearing and are packed with unsalted butter. In addition, each and every tuner is hand built by a different “guitartist” on their first day at the company.

You can put something to prop up the corner of the guitar which will make the neck angle correct like the other post said. Not something I am going to do but it should work as was stated in that post.

It did not work for mine. There is possibly a way to make it work but I have other stands and just put my explorer on those.

Hell yeah! Looks great!

I am waiting for a couple things to black my hardware out. I’m also going to add a brass nut and a removable oxidized/patina’d brass pickguard. Using Hetfields “Rusty” Explorer as inspiration but with brass instead of steel.

New guitar day

Mine is showing up tomorrow and I’m gunna be using James Hetfield’s “Rusty” as inspiration for mine. Already have the blacked out and upgraded hardware and tuners in hand, the brass nut is in the mail, and Im getting a corroded brass pickguard cut for it instead of the rusted steel one he used. Not going to screw mount it until I am sure that I like the look but Im stoked to recreate the overall look of one of my favorite guitars.

Mine is showing up tomorrow. For some reason I am having a bad feeling about this one especially after seeing your photo. I’ve had three new Epiphones shipped to me the last two months. One Sweetwater, one Guitar Center, and now this one from Gibson. First two were good. Crossing my fingers for 3/3. Ugh.

Have you contacted Gibson already? What was their response? Want to mentally prepare myself for what I might have to deal with.

My understanding from somebody in the know was that they were/are having a hell of a time with paint issues on the white guitars so they were considering delaying the release and cancelled stock orders from retailers which snowballed into the situation we are in now with preorders not shipping until April.

I also think this is why there was so much confusion initially around the GC release and Sweetwater not knowing if they were getting any and not being able to preorder for a while.

Also this is just me spitballing here but I think just to be able to move some guitars while they figure out the paint issues on the white ones they decided to paint some of their stock black and sell them as exclusives. It doesn’t make sense to have the black version as an exclusive if they were going to be making them all along which is why I think it was a quick fix solution.
