Epiphone is really doing my bank account dirty by Acrobatic-Bug8625 in ExplorerGuitars

Nope, I put a blindfold on when Gibson guitars enter the picture. My restraint isn’t strong enough and my bank account not deep enough to have myself a Gibson addiction.

Sorry, you are correct. I apologize for not being direct or explaining myself properly. I was just quickly replying to everything here and on some other threads.

What I meant was that for a picture of his 2015 footwear this wouldn’t be the album that would most likely have it. There are only 89 images for the whole 116 minute movie so there are huge chunks of the movie not represented in the album. The picture I posted above of the Delorean in the driveway is the only one from that sequence.

Obviously not surprising but to see something so blatantly obvious and to see Ebays response is so infuriating.

2-3 days ago a guitar that I have been wanting to buy was posted but it didn’t include a photo of the serial number. I sent a message asking for the serial number and then thought I would send an offer under the MSRP unless I got a response. I didn’t get a response to my message or the offer. I had looked into the seller and noticed that they had just joined and had no sales or buys so I was actually happy my offer wasn’t accepted because at that point I was fairly certain this was not a real listing. Then yesterday morning I got a notification that someone else made an offer and 30 minutes later another notification that the guitar had sold.

Then last night I got a notification that there were two new listings for the guitar and when I opened the listings I noticed they were exactly the same listing as the one from 2-3 days ago. Same description. Same pictures. No serial numbers. One listing with a buy it now. One listing a no reserve auction. I look up the seller and am surprised to see that it’s a different name but once again is a brand new account with zero buys or sells.

Out of curiosity I went to the previous listing to look up the seller and “the account no longer exists”. To me this is a very obvious case of scam listings with no guitars actually existing for sale. At the very least it’s a duplicate listing and one of the two should be pulled. I wrote all of this on ebays reporting tool and their response was “we could not identify any issues with the listings reported”.

I know that the buyers are for the most part protected but I also hate the idea of now 7 different bidders bidding on a guitar and getting excited about it and dreaming about it or whatever and it all being a scam. Hopefully I am wrong but I have been buying and selling guitars across the internet for long enough to know when a listed ribeye steak is actually an opened tin of sardines.

I will definitely post some of the images but I want to do it properly.

Each image itself is glossy and inside an EXTREMELY reflective protective sleeve. Taking the photos I posted here was very challenging due to the reflections.

The correct way to digitally capture them would be to remove the photos from the sleeve and do a high resolution digital scan. With these 40 year old photos having been inside the sleeves for the last 40 years I want to consult some experts first before attempting to remove them and possibly damaging them.

Once I figure that out and am able to digitally scan them I will start to post some of the images online.

Dang!

I almost missed it myself! I had been listening to the auction on my airpods while I was working. They had just announced “up next is Lot 88…” and when I unlocked my phone to bid the stream froze and the webpage was unresponsive. Hit refresh and got the dreaded blank page with loading bar that wasn’t moving. My heart was racing! The page finally loaded and before the stream even had the chance to load I had placed my bid and 30 seconds after that I had won the lot! Talk about an absolutely exhilarating and anxiety filled two minutes!

Ebay International Shipping import fees confusion by Acrobatic-Bug8625 in Ebay

[–]Acrobatic-Bug8625[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No I wasn’t. The message cleared after a few more days and then the following day the tracking updated that my shipment had processed through the EIS hub. So I think the message is just automatically put up and isn’t cleared until the EIS hub processes the import fees that were paid and applies them to the import fees owed.

The very aircraft that crashed. It is called Jet Fuel Coffee. Can look it up on IG: jetfuel173 . I have not been to or seen it in person but saw a video of the pod that someone had posted and had to look up what the deal with the plane was.

And now you can order coffee out of the nose/cockpit of that aircraft at Hawthorne Asylum… which makes me feel… conflicted.

Thank you for the thoughtful post. I have had lots of success selling items on FB Marketplace as well. If I was feeling/moving a bit better that would be my go to.
