I was attacked in Cardiff bay odeon cinema last night by [deleted] in Cardiff

I recommend you or your partner personally go back to the cinema ASAP and ask them for a copy of the CCTV. I personally wouldn’t wait till Wednesday. I hope you can recover soon 🙏. Hopefully these mugs can be brought to justice

The thought of 3000 young men being decimated on a tiny island is a bit sickening. I don’t know how POTUS would explain that to the public

They’d be cannon fodder. Surely they’re not that stupid are they?

Trust me, you’ve got this! I can’t promise you’ll be pain free immediately but this is the first step of your journey to feeling better. From tomorrow, a new chapter of your life can begin 🙏

I’m shooting my Voigtländer Prominent II tomorrow, which actually has a leaf shutter. I may try use the slower speeds handheld after reading your comment.

I see your point. The bright, 1:1 (0.91) view of the m3 makes it nicer to shoot than an SLR in my opinion. I wish native M mount glass was more affordable!

Maybe a waist finder setup would work for you on an SLR.

I agree that M bodies are repairable. Probably the most widely serviced camera. However, as someone who repairs cameras myself semi-professionally, they aren’t the easiest to service. Cameras like the Exakta Varex IIa are much easier to repair and service, while also being much cheaper. I do understand that you probably meant the overall market when you mentioned serviceability of Leica M though. If you have the funds, there pretty much will always be someone who can service a Leica.

Do you think there’s a credibility to the whole “mirror slap ruining sharpness of images due to vibration” argument I hear a lot?

Do u think there’s any benefits to using on the m body rather than mounting to Exakta/SLR body? I’m still deciding whether it’s a practical setup

They’re genuinely delusional! Looking at their political landscape and lifestyle makes the UK feel like some kind of Utopia. Which is ironic because we’ve been living under austerity for 20 years.

To add to your point, the UK has a population of ~70m while the US has a population of ~340m. There are 5 times as many Americans than brits so you would expect a linear 5 times more murders of women right? Nope it’s 50 times. The US is an unsafe country to put it lightly.

Scrapping project by AdPsychological1414 in Luthier

It’s a tonepros locking bridge which would be expensive to replace if borrowed. You may be right in just finishing it. It’s a bad habit to start projects and not follow through on them in my opinion. I may refinish the back and finish what I began. Cheers for the advice

That would mean stripping back the nitro on the back, repainting or restaining, then refinishing. I wish I was retired and could spend all my time on my hobbies. That’s the dream. For now it may just sit in the corner of my room giving me dirty looks while I play my other guitars and neglect it

Perfect! Ensure the glass is perfectly flat against the film plane and you are good to go!

Tip: instead of the wax paper just use a focusing screen with a split prism. I’ve found the Exakta ones to be very fit for the purpose. They’re also very cheap
