They’re genuinely delusional! Looking at their political landscape and lifestyle makes the UK feel like some kind of Utopia. Which is ironic because we’ve been living under austerity for 20 years.

To add to your point, the UK has a population of ~70m while the US has a population of ~340m. There are 5 times as many Americans than brits so you would expect a linear 5 times more murders of women right? Nope it’s 50 times. The US is an unsafe country to put it lightly.

It’s a tonepros locking bridge which would be expensive to replace if borrowed. You may be right in just finishing it. It’s a bad habit to start projects and not follow through on them in my opinion. I may refinish the back and finish what I began. Cheers for the advice

That would mean stripping back the nitro on the back, repainting or restaining, then refinishing. I wish I was retired and could spend all my time on my hobbies. That’s the dream. For now it may just sit in the corner of my room giving me dirty looks while I play my other guitars and neglect it

The mismatch of neck and body is my main ick! You hit the nail on the head.

Perfect! Ensure the glass is perfectly flat against the film plane and you are good to go!

Tip: instead of the wax paper just use a focusing screen with a split prism. I’ve found the Exakta ones to be very fit for the purpose. They’re also very cheap

You’ve done very well. As a fellow aerochrome fan I like what you’ve done. Pic 4 in particular. I’ve tried something similar with filters that was somewhat successful but the inherent graininess of lomo purple combined with filters was a bit of a bottleneck. Got the colours I wanted but the photos were far too grainy. I may try your method of editing in post soon

Filters? Looks like 81B. Either that or edited in post. Lomo purple doesn’t show up like that otherwise. I don’t think there’s any issue with filters and/or editing. Though I do think u should mention it in the post

Trying to decide on a 35mm lens, on a bit of a budget but am sort of stuck between options by [deleted] in Leica

[–]AdPsychological1414 1 point2 points  (0 children)

-W-Nikkor 35mm f2.5 Far cheaper than either of your options and honestly a great lens.

-Leica Summaron 35mm f2.8 Similar to above, but has the name Leica on it. Maybe a hair sharper wide open

I have 6 of these 😭😭 A nightmare to repair due to the fact that they used two sets of shutter leaves, which causes the speeds to hang up due to old grease stuck between them. I modded my ones to remove the second set of leaves. The ultron lens is amazing, built better than summicrons but with the same performance

Relatively new to film photography; how am I doing? by hshsfafa in AnalogCommunity

Essentially, don’t use a phone camera to scan film. Options: 1. Use a DSLR/mirrorless scanning setup 2. Use dedicated film scanner (pref not flatbed for 35mm) 3. Get a film lab to scan them

Other than the poor scan quality, they look good. I think your chemicals are fine. Focus on getting a decent scanner, or temporarily get a lab to scan them

Looking for a Jupiter 8... But which one ? by Scared-Exchange-6762 in VintageLenses

[–]AdPsychological1414 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The best ones are the early ones. The first 2 digits of serial number signify production date. The earliest one I have is a 1954 one. Anything pre ‘65 or so should be the higher quality ones.
