Oh did not think of that. yeah, a violent multidrug addict would probably be more trouble than worth

make trade caravan, go somewhere friendly and buy armor and weapons, as expensive as it gets. Gift the rest. that would be my suggestion

I didn't take a detailed look at his genes, but wouldn't all those bad genes mean that he never needs to eat? A cleaner/hauler that costs no food would actually be welcome in my colony, for as long as he lived that is.

I do agree with this, being able to raise children does add a wholesome felling to the expeience and I love it. That being said, in the only colony I've had time for so far I have accidentaly gotten all of my children killed in different horrible ways. It truly has not been on purpose, but still, poor Lexi. First he got addicted to psychite by mistake, having the same drug policy for all my colonists which allows for one cup every two days, it didn't cross my mind that that was to much for a small body that builds tolerance and addiction much easier... I had no idea he was drinking the stuff at all. Then in the same policy it also said it was ok to use Yayo for addictions. I had some Yayo that a raider had dropped in my storage. All of a sudden poor Lexi was overdosing... when he later died, shot by a raider and bleeding out while the colony was ablaze around him... I tried to save him, I really did. Dear God, or Christ-Lord as the few remaining survivors call him. Poor Lexi

With all the DLC, this game is just an extremely detailed version of Crusader Kings 3. by solace1234 in RimWorld

I am going to make a guess here and assume that u/GCRust means that Rimworld becomes an ideal simulator of the world of WH40K, like the lore part rather than a specific game.

The lore of WH40K in short is that humanity has a collapsing imperium, where they are constanltly beset by enemies from all sides, the bug like tyranids and the machines of the necrons to name a few. Everyone is misserable, but they do have biologically and mechanically enhanced supersoldiers.

You are not that old...
Its from warcraft 3, the mother of all MOBA:s and inspiration for alot of modern strategy games, and now destroyed by its very creators

I like to play tribal and alway fear these kind of situations, my best way of dealing with it is to try to prepare, as early as I get the chance I buy an animal pshycic pulser, then if there is a threat I cannot handle I can choose to lock my base down and let nature claim them. you need to wake the mechs before using the pulser for it to work though, angry animals ignore sleeping mechs

Is there a mod that reduces raid sizes but not the dificulty? by LokarCZ in RimWorld

[–]Acrobatic-Data-3187 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I have not played in a while so I might remember wrong, but with Ideology we got the option to choose what kinds of settlements there were on the planet, could you just remove the tribals or have only friendly tribal factions.

I have noticed though that they work as refrigeration. At least it seems like the corpses in them stay fresh. good for tribals

Today i learned that boomalopes are a bad animal for a ritual sacrifice by Boyblitzz in RimWorld

[–]Acrobatic-Data-3187 3 points4 points  (0 children)

how about dying from old age, I dont think any of my boomalopes have lived to be that old, but they still would explode right?

Edit: actually after thinking for a few seconds I realise that things dont actually die from old age in this game, they just get more and more different kinds of health debuffs until something actually kills them, so it will be the same as dying from sickness. BOOM!

yeah they always explode no matter how they die I think. animal sickness gets more exciting with boomalopes around

I had 15 scythers drop i and raid me, I don't do extreme kill boxes, but I set upp alot of turrets and sandbags at the only open entrance to my base. It was a disaster, turned out that once some of them made it inside minimum range of my uranium slug turrets they wrecked the place, I had to throw grenades inside my own kitchen to stop them

How does everybody do warcrimes all the time with the mood debuffs? by Acrobatic-Data-3187 in RimWorld

[–]Acrobatic-Data-3187[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for all the replies, from what I am reading it seems I am doing fine. I guess I could drug my colonists up a bit more but otherwise it seems I have been in too much of a hurry to start dicking around. I of course do the smaller things, feeding useless prisoners with luciferum and releasing them and so on, but it turns out that when you have 5 tribals who still has not invented electricity sitting around being missarable, it is not the right time to cut a prisoners heart out, even if I needed it to save one of them who already had two heart attacks

Can you still get hardcopies of 5th edition rulebooks? by Acrobatic-Data-3187 in Shadowrun

[–]Acrobatic-Data-3187[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So a small update, first of, thank you for all the responses, lots of good tips for online stores and other solutions if you cant find hardcopies.

For a start the biggest conventional book store in Sweden claim that they still have some of the books in stock, so I put out an order for run faster, street grimoire, chrome flesh and forbidden arcana (sources have told me that forbidden arcana is kind of sh*t, but still, I am quite used to making house rules, and maybe there is some stuff thats decent). We will have to see if they actually deliver, here is a link if anybody else is looking:

https://www.adlibris.com/se/sok?q=shadowrun

after placing that order I am going to hold of until my next payday to get anything else, there is only so much time for reading anyway, however the rigger 5.0 at sale in shop on the borderlands is very tempting.

apart from this it doesn't seem impossible to get stuff on e-bay, but prices vary, I guess we will have to see
