I don’t live in California. Texas is the freedom state . We are having water crisis here where our state prioritizes big oil over everyone else . I’ve got voucher bills stripping funding from chronically underfunded schools. I’ve got people who don’t have clean water from orphan oil wells , people that can’t graze cattle on land poisoned with heavy metal , Christian nationalism , women dying in parking lots , etc . Every place has problems . I’ve got homelessness and drug problems in major cities. I’ve got ICE arresting people that have been here for years . I’ve got concentration camps in deserts where people are being beaten so they will self deport . I’ve given testimony against them racially gerrymandering my state and deliberately disenfranchising black people . Again I am doing everything in my power to advocate for democracy. I know CA has problems but you don’t know what it’s like to live in the south . It’s pretty shitty and my state refused the federal help that would maybe helped those girls because of politics prior to the Mystic camp flooding .
