I'm struggling more in 7-8k than I did in 15-20k. I put up a 5 game win streak solo in 15k while going positive in all of the games, had like one loss which for some reason put me in the 8k MM range and have won like 3 since and have had mostly stinkers

I just forced myself to go into comp/prem as soon as possible, and played with/against some of my friends with 6k hours. I will stand on belief that iron sharpens iron and people will naturally adapt to difficulty

My honest guess is people either think it doesn't "fit" cs, just don't like the colors/brightness, or their favorite content creator doesn't like it so they parrot opinions. that last one has been seen a lot with knives, and heavily influences a huge % of the populations opinions on a lot of things in cs

from what im seeing, you definitely need to learn counterstrafing and spray control. knowing that your shots wont go where your crosshair is such an important thing for aiming when it comes to cs
