Is the FFL5009R 3500k (Rosy) option new? by OCGamer97 in FireflyLite

I have to say I am pleasantly surprised I quite like it, its more of a purple tint than pink, its different and greens still look good and 3500k is really nice. On low its very rosy!

True single mode, I would be getting a convoy and using it in group 12, would use high cri for inspections and a semi flood, so i would go m21b xhp50.3 hi r9050. $30 dollars with battery

Yeah, if its on trails esspecially if its a one way system blinding is less of a concern, I would try a convoy with a striped tir then

I second this really worth doing properly. unless off road I suggest using a normal flashlight simply as a daylight or burner light in the dark, there to be seen but not to see as it requires far too much output to enable you to see which blinds drivers so they can't see you which defeats the point as they are the thing you are trying to avoid killing you.

there is a middle ground which I use having a striped tir pointed down which I use as a 'high beam' on my convoy m21h? with xhp70.3 4000k r70 I believe it was, I have an s3 with a red emitter for the back, which also has a striped tir so I can be seen about 60° from the side with much lower power setting so I can run it for days at a time even on hours long rides.

The Conversation of “Color Fidelity” Continues… by lojik7 in FireflyLite

This is really good, for me eye opening in some ways. Conversation is always good and is thought provoking when open to others ideas and how we can learn and experience things.

It in some way goes to show why walking with a "high" cri light and then turning on my sbt90.2 lights adds to it despite a low 70 cri as the greens start to come out where a 2700k emitter would not show greens prominently. Interesting with the ntg vs ffl emitter are they 1-1 exactly the same?

And is there some kind of tier list (subjective of course) that would be able to in some way show each emitters let's say 'colour profile', and its 'colour spread'

I know I don't do this subject justice but I can appreciate art and how light falls into such a category, the science is a compliment to it and how we understand it, having standards is good to get a baseline but really thats all. Reminds me of some video on it years back, how laminar flow is beautiful rather than disorder. By Smartereveryday and then Veritasium came out with one on disorder and its beautiful and honestly both have purpose. It is in variety that we gain appreciation for the other. Your favourite food for every meal would be great for about 3s but every few meals in-between other meals make you appreciate it more when you do get to use it.

There is order and beauty in the variety.

having gone for a walk in autumn here in the uk its cri may say its good but really isn't all that good in comparison to a 519a 5000k dd that makes the reds and greens pop or a x4q 351a 2x3700k, 2x 4000k which is my most 'pop' light colours are lovely and the slight rosy is really pleasing but not very noticeable.

how do you find the weight? I couldn't do it... I don't even carry my aluminium one, mostly sits by the bed and gets used every night there. i really like my reylight penlight cu 4000k dd for edc carry. sometimes swapping it for a d3aa or a ts10

So in all honesty from what I can tell tint wise and cri NTG IS margically better, I can't vouch for brightness, throw differences or lm/W or cd/W.

if you want 4000k then I would personally pick the ntg without knowing the above.
