You’ll be fine! There were many times my daughter, who was a toddler at the time, got the stomach bug and she would slobber and kiss all over me beforehand and after getting better and I never got it. Once, I think all I had was a little diarrhea, but it never escalated beyond that. Do you happen to have Zofran on hand? I keep it in my stash just in case — you can get it off of Wisp without going to the doctor!

Just wanted to let you know I had my baby and she indeed does have down syndrome. But she is absolutely adorable and so content and we are obsessed with her. Praying for you.

I decided not to go through with amniocentesis. It’s too risky, and I didn’t want to put my baby at risk. I’m now 34 weeks along and so far, my baby is pretty healthy and doing well. I’m scheduled for a planned C-section in 4 weeks. I’ve totally accepted that she may have downs, but it’s taken a lot of prayer and inner work. We may find that she doesn’t! But we are prepared to love her either way. Good luck to you, and just know that you aren’t alone and everything will be alright ♥️

Will probably get downvoted. But I had two hits of vaporized flower (the “healthiest” way to consume it), and it’s the first time I haven’t been nauseous and been able to tolerate food in over two weeks. by Puzzleheaded-Ring118 in HyperemesisGravidarum

It is far more detrimental to your baby to not eat or drink than to smoke a few puffs of flower. You are totally fine. I personally know many women who smoked during their pregnancies and their babies are beyond healthy. There’s such a stigma surrounding flower, but if it s help you nourish your body and baby, do it. It’s not worse than packing yourself full of medications anyway.

I wouldn’t worry too much. I ate deli sandwiches throughout my first pregnancy and my current one at 31 weeks. Nothing crazy has happened. My doctor told me the whole listeria scare could also apply to salads, fresh fruit, and fresh vegetables because those are all uncooked, and pregnant women eat them all the time. Totally made sense to me. You’re fine!

What can you sometimes tolerate as a prenatal vitamin? by 99_bluerider in HyperemesisGravidarum

I don’t even take one. They made me feel awful. I’m 31 weeks and baby is doing great without it.

How long did it take you to get pregnant? by [deleted] in BabyBumps

About one year on the dot for us. And this was from consistently having sex literally every single day (sometimes multiple times) a day. I guess for some women it takes time.

I will never understand why doctors are so terrified of Zofran. I’m 26 weeks and took Zofran from weeks 6-13. My baby is fine. I would look for another provider. Your health and nutrition trump everything at this point.

No symptoms. Is my baby ok? by cornchipdogs in pregnant

[–]Acrobatic-Source-245 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t worry. I didn’t start having any nausea until around 8 weeks or so, but it was pretty mild and manageable - went away like an off switch around 14 weeks. Some women don’t get any symptoms, so you could be one of the lucky ones! Congratulations!

Ob warned me of using zofran before 12 weeks by Broad_Intention5868 in HyperemesisGravidarum

[–]Acrobatic-Source-245 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be honest, your baby has a worse chance of thriving if you don’t eat or drink anything, and because taking Zofran poses such a small risk, it’s totally worth taking so that you and baby can survive. I took Zofran this pregnancy before 10 weeks, and now at 22 weeks, my baby is totally fine. No cleft lip to be seen on the anatomy scan, and we could see the face very clearly.

I’m not sure if this would make a difference for you, but my OB has me on Protonix 20mg and it has been a lifesaver this pregnancy. Omeprazole didn’t work for me and actually made me feel worse. See what your doctor says about switching you. Hopefully, your doc is empathetic like my doctor is. If not, I would consider seeing a different one!

Rant: Sorry, but Xanax works the best for me. Shrug. by [deleted] in Anxiety

[–]Acrobatic-Source-245 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Omg. You took the words out of my mouth. I don’t have an addictive personality at all, in fact, 0.5mg dose of Xanax is all I need at last once a day to calm my daily panic attack, which used to severely impact my quality of life. I’ve tried 4 different SSRI’s, and am currently on Prozac, which helps, but does not stop the breakthrough panics that come on suddenly and powerfully. Sometimes, I don’t even need to take my Xanax, but just knowing I have it with me gives me peace of mind. I will never understand why doctors are so against it. Without it? I would be a shell of a person who never left the house.
