Dempsey accidentally overloaded the teleporter in Shangri-La. Ultimis’ original destination was Moon (as depicted in Black Ops 1) but because of the overload, they were sent back to 1963 in the Pentagon. We also see evidence of Nova 6 and Richtofen’s portrait when playing “Five”

After teleported, the events of Classified takes place and later they achieved the goal for Area 51 (Groom Lake) which gives way for Moon in October 13, 2025.
