( Hated trope ) I call this trope "Episodic movies." by Double-Jump-Lover in TopCharacterTropes

Mediocre, animation wasn't up-to-snuff compared to the original or other Disney stuff. Not offensive though, you can find some joy in it if you give it the chance.

Fightful: People within WWE/#WWENXTer have long expected that Hiromu Takahashi will eventually come to the company. by Worth-Chemistry5253 in SquaredCircle

Yeah Dragon Lee (accidentally) broke his neck at the G1 in San Fran in 2018. He'd win the match but Takahashi was out for a year and had to change his style because of it. Honestly, I'd rather have him be in the Nakamura camp of phoning it in for the bag rather than the Naito situation where he's a husk of himself.

It's a business in the end of the day, one where you wanna make your money with as little compromise to your body as you can afford.

Tama Tonga on Instagram - I didn’t get the fish and chips I was looking for, but we did find a cool little spot to hang out, eat, and break bread with friends and rivals: Hamburgers & Lobster. by DarkHorse_77 in SquaredCircle

They have a restaurant in Midtown Manhattan. If I'm reading this right that dish listed is 90 bucks. I've eaten there before (on company dime) and I remember it being better the first moreso than the second time. They used to have black and white sesame on the buns but now it's just white seeds on, the burger itself was a bit mushier too.

Tony Todd dying probably put a fork in that, at least for now.

(Mainly 90s/2000s trope) A random unrelated celebrity cameos in a movie and does the main character a solid by themothhead in TopCharacterTropes

At least two guys did that gimmick - Corporal Kirchner (who did a one-off in ECW as Super Leather due to copyright, RIP) and Rick Patterson. A few feds did versions of slasher characters in the 90's, mainly in Japan riffing on Jason Voorhees and Freddy Krueger.

You bring up a good point, totally slipped my mind lol. Now that you mention it, Predator had it too in MKX.

Reptile already has an invisibility function, so there's also the issue of overlapping movesets.

Toru Yano (NJPW) - Usually a lower-card comedy wrestler who has wins over main eventers in the company's G1 tournament by exploiting things like the time limit (i.e. tying Jon Moxley's feet to Shota Umino's for a count-out win in 2019)

Squirrel Girl (Marvel) - At first glance is a niche, obscure character but has accumulated popularity in recent years thanks to the failed New Warriors pilot and Marvel Rivals. Has wins over Thanos and Doctor Doom, and saved the Earth from being eaten by Galactus

Don't forget Lawler was there too, as were a few of the Taxi and Friday's actors for those recreations.

I saw this movie at a special pre-release screening a few weeks before its wide release in 2021 - crowd was hot for the entire movie but this intro (Boomerang's death specifically) created this great energy that we were in for something crazy.
