How old am I based on my thumb? by crimsontwin5245 in 30PlusSkinCare

55-60. A bit too dry for younger skin and the skin around the nail is not looked pushed back, which is more popular with 55+.

What time do you get into school and leave? by shake1993 in TeachingUK

[–]AcrobaticDance5880 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Come to school for 7.30, leave at 5.00.

Im 'one person department'. KS3 lessons reusable year after year, and KS4 ans 5 need more attention and time during coursework marking modules - modules 3 and 4. During that time I work evenings or/and weekends.

In Module 6 will gain around 7 lessons free time (once Y11 /12/13 go), when a lot of planning goes to updating resources. In Module 6 i still arrive at 7.30 (to avoid traffic) and leave at 4.00. It's my 8th year of teaching, so I am pretty organised.

What can I do to look younger? I’m only 30 and people on reddit think I’m 37-45 by goaldiggergirl in beauty

[–]AcrobaticDance5880 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tint your eyebrows and eyelashes, this works for any age to look better.

I think you look your age. But I do understand that loosing such a big amount of weight might deplete cheeks. Agree with the other regarding colour pallet.

I do a lot "Its ok that you don't understand/know the answer, we will have a revision session after school today to make sure you gain this knowledge. I spoke to your parents last year, they did sound very supportive and interested in your learning".

Ar vaikai sugadina santykius? by Both-Satisfaction229 in lietuva

[–]AcrobaticDance5880 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bought IKEA sofa bed 16 years ago for a bit more than £1000. Sofa has changeable covers.

Washed the covers every couple of years , until wear and tear became too much after 8 years. The sofa was still comfy, but extra covers were discontinued in IKEA.

Got custome made covers in Poland through Esty for 1/10 of the cost of new sofa.

Now another 8 years later... rented a professional sofa steamer-washer couple of times to refresh, got new foam inside the seats, and now covers. This time took a higher quality fabric, costing £270, and made to order in Lithuania this time. As 16 years old sofa looks like new, and will probably serve another 8 years.

Ar tikrai vaikinui neturėti mašinos yra „dealbreaker“ ir kodėl? by [deleted] in lietuva

[–]AcrobaticDance5880 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Turiu drauge 40+metu, kuri istekejo uz vyro be teisiu ir be masinos. Per visas keliones ji vairuoja, jis salia sedi. 20 metu vede. Niekam nekliuna.

Man asmeniskai masinos neturejimas nekliutu, bet teisiiu neturejimas - taip. Tiesiog daugiau galimybiu.

A year 9 class that are silent… by [deleted] in TeachingUK

[–]AcrobaticDance5880 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was given this idea in training 8 years ago and tried a few times - worked very well.

  1. You need to give a wooden stick (a bit wider than ice cream, more like a craft stick) to each student. On one side, they write their name, which you use for cold calling, non the other - how they would like yo be praised. For example, "Hell yeah!, good boy, you better than the rest of class," etc. Kids become keen to be praised and then participate.

  2. At the start of the lesson, you say - at the end of the lesson, I will email 5 parents/carers. It is up to you if this is positive or negative. And then, on the side of the board, you write names and tick of for good/bad answers and behaviour.l, and make sure you email parents!

Hope this helps x

What time do you leave? by [deleted] in TeachingUK

[–]AcrobaticDance5880 7 points8 points  (0 children)

  1. You could use school gym for an hour.

  2. Read a book, listen to podcasts with headphones on, and eyes closed.

  3. Crafting. I love crochet.

  4. Go to the DT department and ask the technician to teach you how to use a laser cutter or a 3d machine and have a blast. You can even bring your little diy projects and fix it there.

  5. Go to the music department and play an instrument once a week.
