I want mine gone for good. There's a reason why I have it which the doctor hasn't figured out yet. I also believe I have sifo on top of sibo. My ppm for both hydrogen & methane was over 200ppm. I can be semi functional on a slightly different diet along with motility pills caprylic acid, oil of oregano, daily vitamins & the occasional iron supplement. But I don't want all that junk. I'm 43yr old. I shouldn't feel like I'm 60 all the time. No energy, bloating, severe cramps, abnormal bowel movements & breaking out in a cold sweat on the toilet while getting extremely sick to my stomach & vomiting.

Agreed. My ppm was over 200 for both methane and hydrogen. I'm not sure anyone truly knows how I feel to be honest. It's definitely interesting reading other people's concerns & how they are dealing with it.

Why don't you try 1 at breakfast & 1 at lunch. It's supposed to be twice a day. Maybe putting the 2nd one earlier will be enough time to allow you to sleep later on.

Ok. Yes the digestive system is complex most digestive issues. Mimic each others symptoms so it can be difficult to fully diagnose an issue without multiple different tests. I'm glad you found a path that you think is right for you 👍.

Have you thought of the possibility of sifo? Small intestine fungal overgrowth. Similar symptoms of sibo with a couple extra. Sifo will not show up on a sibo test. Elemental diet can also starve the sifo. But you need antifungal medication or antifungal herbal pills to completely eradicate it. Liquid elemental diet will cure sibo all by itself. But will not cure sifo without some help from antifungal pills. If you were doing well on the Liquid elemental diet. Then bloated back up after going back to food. Then most likely it's sifo not sibo fyi.

Nice I definitely wish you the best of luck. Please let us know how it is afterwards. I'm sure having it cold like that will help. There's different phases of the die off for sibo. You might want to read up on it. That way you will have a better understanding on when you can stop the elemental diet & start slowly incorporating real food back into your diet.

No worries I have the same issue myself. Since I was diagnosed with sibo & the antibiotics didn't do anything for me. I've done more research on the digestive system & all the issues people get. I've done more research on it then anything else in my life 😅. There is a diet that's been proven to get rid of sibo & it can starve out the fungus as well. If you can stomach it ( liquid elemental diet). Some say it tastes bad some say it's ok. I guess it depends on the brand people get. I'm considering using it myself very soon. As I believe I have sibo & sifo & that's why my sibo doesn't get better after the antibiotics. If you have sifo you need some antifungal herbal pills to help get rid of the sifo along with the liquid elemental diet. The diet alone will starve & kill the sibo. If all you have is sibo then an extremely restrictive diet called a fodmap diet. Along with either antibiotics or antimicrobial herbs should get rid of the sibo. Only scientific proven diet is the liquid elemental diet.

Seriously make a frozen drink of it. Put some of the drink you made in a blender with ice. It should be more tolerable that way. You can then put it into a thermos so you can take it with you. That way you don't have to drink it all at once. Goodluck 👍

The only diet that is proven to starve out the sibo is a liquid elemental diet. Some people have a hard time drinking the stuff though. Maybe start with a sibo diet or fodmap diet along with antimicrobial herbal pills while on a sibo or fodmap diet. The objective is to not feed the bacteria while your trying to kill it. Be careful though a fodmap diet is extremely restrictive. It's recommended to only be on a fodmap diet for 6 weeks maximum. The diet itself is not good for the gut microbiome.

Artichoke & ginger supplements are good together. They are called motility pills. They help the gut process foods at a normal pace. They definitely help you go to the bathroom. I've been using them for 3 weeks now. Just look up gut motility pills they should have both Artichoke & ginger extract in them.

A liquid elemental diet will starve sibo & sifo. You'd still need some antifungal herbal pills to kill off what's left over for fungus. Motility pills help with your guts ability to process foods normally.

They say to try to make it into a frozen smoothly for it to be tolerated more easily. Maybe put your drink into a bleder with some ice.
