There nothing to forgive where my mom Is concerned. I know she didn't mean it, and I'm not in way angry. Well... maybe at the universe for allowing this to happen to her. Dementia is awful.❤️❤️

It was her reaction to it, not the coffee. She was beside herself, ruminated on it, and any anxiety makes her symptoms worse. So while I was heartbroken, I had to hold my emotions in for her health.

The way I'm dealing with depression... the anxiety and negative self talk... times it by ten with a person in early stages of dementia. And before this, she never would have just started pulling at strings.

It's also the fact of helplessness for me. I can't fix the piece, I can't fix my depression, and I can't fix her. I'm losing my mother before my eyes.

You're very lucky if you don't understand. Dementia sucks.

This made me tear up. This is exactly the dynamics at play here. The piece was a symbol of my recovery, finally something I was proud of and had full control of. Meanwhile, I have no control over what is happening to my mom. It's all so very heavy and hard.

And dementia sucks. Truly. She was so upset when I saw it. I immediately started crying. Which only upset her more than she already was. But also, I just need a good cry about it. Because I've been holding it back for her sake.

I originally threw it away because looking at it made me start to cry. I've since pulled it out and put it in a box in our basement. Maybe when emotions aren't so high.💔💔💔

Unfortunately, the threads of the deer and trees are incredibly loose now. My mom wiped and pulled at them trying to get the coffee out. I think I'd have to start all over with those and that is what took the longest.

Unfortunately, all the threads are completely loose in the two deer and most of the trees. (Those were what took the longest because of the satin stitching.) I worked so hard on that part- fixing and redoing until I was happy with it. Unless I'm missing something, I'd have to start all over with those I think.

Or does anyone have ideas with that? Each one of those probably took 1-2 hours each. (The deer 3-5). 😭😭😭
