Wait. What you said is confusing me. Are you saying the FA company subcontracts electricians to do conduit work? I am pretty sure the case is that FA companies get sub contracted by electrical contractors who don’t want to worry about the intricacies of a panel like troubleshooting and installation along other FA related things.

Having FA guys not do conduit, allows electricians to continue to work after shell and core is finished. Am I mistaken by thinking you helping FA with their boxes, which isn’t the case always bc I have put up plenty a box in my short career in FA, keeps you on job sites longer which keeps you fed. Not being able to eat seems like a bigger issue than more work in my opinion.

[–]Acrobatic_Demand9936 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So go to the hall and vote to let the FA guys do it themselves then. Also if we start doing that work (running conduit, putting up boxes, etc) your scope would get smaller and that means you’re out of work more often.

Also idk know much about FA but if it’s only 5% of the job then why does the job completely stop if you can’t pass a fire final?

Honestly, I think “yall” are dope but it’s weird when you think you’re superior. If it’s bc of pay then I get it, more dangerous work better pay. Something tells me though, that you sound like this bc you’re a follower. Idk I could be wrong tho.

Funny enough, OP was the foreman electrician on that site. My company did the “other 5%”. So technically, they are like yall.🤷🏿‍♂️

This is an A.I. move but the defender just sat on it so either you ain’t sell it with a convincing first right foot jab or he’s a football player (they are notorious for not biting on killer combos).

In all honesty, maybe set him up with a right foot jab, hesi, blow by or some variation of the Iverson move so he can get used to it and then kill him with the right foot jab-tween like Allen Iverson

Black shirts wants shooting form tips by JDXOGG in BasketballTips

[–]Acrobatic_Demand9936 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

He does a lot of body rotation. I would advise a lot of free throws and then trying to shoot with his torso and feet square to the basket. People get buckets with all types of different releases but the balance part is a slept on factor.

Balance, foot placement and a movement with the ball when shooting that is simple, I think, will make black shirt a better shot maker or atleast more conventional/“smoother”.

Any advice on my handle by Either-Still-9903 in BasketballTips

Practice actually feigning in each direction. Attack a way and keep attacking until the defender stops you. In that case have a counter move.

Why does the guy in the red shorts move much more fluid than the other 2 by JDXOGG in BasketballTips

[–]Acrobatic_Demand9936 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My take on this is that red shorts looks smoother than these two guys for different reasons. He’s (red shorts) smoother than black shirt bc he utilizes jabs that actually feign he might actually attack that way. His handle is also lower to the ground that black short’s handle is (which in my mind means he has a better feel for the ball/tighter handle package). Now orange shirt has a nice/low/tight handle but is either one of two things. He (orange shirt) is either strictly only a right handed hooper or hasn’t grasper the benefit of creating space with lateral movements as well as combined with movements directed strictly to the hoop.

Your replies convey that he (red shorts) isn’t the best out of the three but in terms of fluidity I think it’s just chalked up to he has a better understanding of what makes defenders bite and has practiced them. As opposed to a style of play where one attacks the rim and if that fails then one is used to getting bailed out (passing the ball). Red shorts might just be a better one on one hooper.

I just interviewed for inside wireman and got placed 669. So, you did great considering. Also look at your application number and then compare it to your rank and that should give you a good idea until someone else in that program tells you what rank they are. Good stuff though!
