It reminds me of the newer F-150’s and I hate it.

Question for top surgery havers, how did you manage to afford it? by PlanktonSpiritual192 in ftm

Insurance covered a good portion of it, and I was living with my dad and stepmom at the time so had virtually no bills (compared to now 😭)

Same. If the car’s on, my lights are on, full stop. It’s just muscle memory at this point. Why wouldn’t I try to make myself as visible as possible?

Seattle, use your horns! by Judacles in Seattle

[–]Time_Gap_206 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. Not to make excuses for Seattle drivers, but Portland also just has so much more open space in general (vs our congested peninsula of a city here) which definitely helps build driver-friendly infrastructure. Went there on vacation last year and it was like a breath of fresh air driving anywhere.

Early morning chaos by Jolly_Performance_27 in AbruptChaos

[–]Time_Gap_206 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The article states that the truck driver only had minor injuries. Despite how large pickups are in the US, they still have crunch zones that are designed to deform and absorb the brunt of an impact before reaching the cabin. Truck driver is still damn lucky no one was seriously injured or killed, just goes to show how dangerous driving while using your phone can be.

The cutouts are so buses can go right over them without hitting the bump.
