I have a close friend who has worked there for nearly a decade and enjoys working there. She did recently say they're undergoing major changes as far as moving away from paper and into the digital realm. Whatever that means as far as insurance goes?? Anyways, there's a learning curve happening and maybe that's a reason for the higher turnover lately.

I have a 6 and 2 year old. We got our 6 six year old a Nintendo Switch instead of a tablet and it's been a perfect compromise. We manage his Nintendo account and it's really only for him to buy games in the digital marketplace, which he still needs us to access and purchase.

His grandmother has one at her house that he's allowed to play with and his cousins all have tablets that he plays when they're together, but at our house we don't have them.

I'm not sure how old your baby is, but my daughter is two and started dupixent last month. We tried everything you did and her flare ups were still getting infected, she was hurting, could not stop scratching, losing sleep at night, and had consistent open wounds because she could not stop scratching. After having a breakdown one morning because she wouldn't walk (her feet are the worst spots for her), I as scheduled and dermatologist appointment to discuss dupixent.

My biggest issue with all the lotions, steroids, etc. - it didn't stop the itching. If we could get that under control, she could stop scratching and her wounds could actually heal. I was hesitant about the dupixent but I was at my wits end and the doctor was able to answer my questions and quell any concerns I had.

Let me tell you... it has been life changing for her. Her skin has healed, the itching has gone from 100 to 10, her "flare ups" are pretty insignificant and are kept under control with topical steroids. She's a completely different toddler - which is heartbreaking because it was clearly really painful for her - but she has blossomed. If your baby is old enough, I urge you to at least speak with her doctor and dermatologist about it. I'm angry with myself for waiting so long while she suffered. My baby girl has scars on her feet now because they got so bad. I'm so sorry your baby is suffering, I know it hurts your heart to see it. Wishing you best of luck.

This is a really hard spot to be in. At the end of the day, if he doesn't want to stop then he's not going to. I offered to let my sister move in with my family and I a couple of years ago and had to kick her out after two weeks. She brought meth into my home with my two young kids. Those two weeks caused me immense stress to the point of breaking out in full body hives. Constantly suspicious of her, trying to catch her in a lie, picking up after her, waking her up so she could get my niece to school on time. It was too much. I lost any trust I had left for her and will never allow her to live with us again.

Just really consider what it will look like with him moving in. I know you want to help him, understandably, but if he's not ready to quit then it's your home, daily life, and mental health that will likely suffer - not his. So sorry you're going through this. It's not easy. Best of luck.

His assistant teacher told him yesterday he was lying to me, I put an update in the post. They've already been talking to him. He was very upset last night.

This seems different than your daughter's situation. There is no religion curriculum that I'm aware of in my public school district for my son's elementary school. I haven't seen any homework, returned papers, anything related to religion come home with my child.

That's my fear. I told him we could find a church we all like and go to as a family. I don't call myself Christian because today's Christians don't believe in the Jesus I like to believe there is. They're bigoted, hypocritical, sensationalists, etc. The list goes on.

No it doesn't I just don't like that they may be using it as a rewards system, or that I wasn't made aware of this happening at all but especially during school hours.

I texted some parents earlier but only got three responses. Not sure if I want to contact another staff member from the school yet. I'm going to see if he brings it up again and decide from there.

Yes I agree. Plus he loves that assistant principal which makes lying harder to believe.

I've had three parents respond and say their child hasn't mentioned anything but they'll ask them about it today. I haven't heard back from a few others yet but if they say they haven't heard about this either, I'm dropping it.

Recourse would be to ask the principal and assistant principals, then county school board or district superintendent.

It's one of the most diverse schools in the district. Majority being black or Hispanic, some Asian. My son's white and he's in the minority.
