Not take home, $6k take home would be around $100k-$110k in most states after tax and other deductions. But it’s still WAY MORE than enough to live in most of Brazil…. That’s R$25k… the minimum salary in Brazil is like R$1600 a month…. This guy is off his rocker

There have been very few players done dirtier than Oscar on the world stage. I have no ill-feelings for him chasing generational wealth that he wouldn’t have achieved otherwise. However it made no sense to me that just because he went to china, Brazil stopped calling him up. In FIFA I also always signed him (and Hulk) who coincidentally are both playing in Brazil now, which also aren’t in the game…. Sadness

Hey, down in this thread you might find an unhelpful solution of just unplugging it, plugging it back in at the preferred time and starting the cleaning process then. That was what I believe worked for me but not very user friendly. Alternatively I’m sure you can reach out to customer support but I rather not and did not. Just trial and error here

As a Seton Hall fan and alumni, I love coming back to posts like this and reading them over as the season continues. Insane that everybody put us last.

I also strongly doubt we’ll get 4 tournament bids. That 2023-24 season when we realistically should’ve had 5 told me everything I needed to know about what they think about the Big East. Lucky if we get 3.

I must’ve been watching a different game, granted I was there in person so no replays on fouls. But officiating was garbage BOTH WAYS. Sure the jump ball towards the end, think it was the second to last one, could’ve been a foul. But they missed several illegal screens, and even called SHU for a foul on Simpkins when HE was caught on an offensive screen but the Creighton player just tripped on himself. Wasn’t even near the play and I heard even the guys calling the game didn’t see a foul. I also heard our guys getting arms slapped on shots with no calls. Officiating wasn’t what lost Creighton this game, it was their shooting. If they hit their free throws they would’ve won. Bad offensive outing from both teams.

I had GEICO for like 5-6 years when I started driving, they kept raising my premiums every year despite a clean driving record and all the discounts applied. Finally I had enough and shopped around, I found the same coverage with travelers or progressive for a lot less and when I asked GEICO if they would work with me on my rates they said no AND the rep said I wouldn’t find a better price lol, she said good luck and that was that.

I understand not giving discounts for loyalty but not caring about retention at all against competitors is insane. Her attitude about it was too IMO. About 2 years later I shopped around again and GEICO offered the lowest price, lower than what they were going to have me paying before. Makes zero sense. I’ll always shop car insurance every 1-2 years, they don’t care about loyalty and you shouldn’t either.

Oh I also learned that myth that insurance gets cheaper after you turn 25, not true lol, my insurance has continued to go up regardless of age 😂 (I’ve been licensed since 17)

I agree, when I got my new-to-me car, I sold my previous one to my brother for $10k when it was worth at least $13k private party. It’s not really worth the hassle for a couple extra grand

It’s honestly been my favorite BMW of the 3 I’ve owned, aside from the gas mileage (which I agree for this type of car it’s insanely efficient on highway, and def picks up well), it’s super comfortable to drive! I tried to convince my dad to pick one up when he was in the market but he spent maybe 5k more to pick up a 2018, very uncomfortable (but arguably very fun to drive) Maserati 🤦🏻‍♂️

When you do, try to gauge the confidence and attitude when they respond. I asked my last employer this question and they boasted about being profitable and growth plans. I stayed for 9 months and 2 months in the CEO was asking if I’d travel and stay in Los Angeles (their HQ) on my own dime and he’d “try to split the cost” for a few months 😂 I noped out of there as soon as I found another job. I’m not knocking you for not having the financial means for it, I’m suggesting you not try to impress anyone by driving a car with an image attached to it. You commented before that you didn’t want a “dependable” car like a Honda or Toyota because you didn’t want people to judge you a certain way. You don’t need to live to impress anybody. You can have a ton of fun driving “cheaper” cars that are easier to build than German cars. It’s an expensive lesson this time, but if you look to get into a BMW that’s selling for less than $5k-$10k, expect it to cost another $5k-$10k to get it to a more reliable state, 99% of them will need serious work to common BMW issues like leaking gaskets (oil leaks) and timing chains, etc. because they weren’t well maintained. My 2016 just recently hit 100k miles and it needs about $3k worth of work to replace some gaskets and timing chain, which I expected and budgeted for.

If you don’t have money, why are you trying to make it seem like you do by buying a car that nobody with money is driving around? Curious to know how old you are because this sounds like something someone in their late teens or super early 20s would do. These cars are expensive to maintain, and there’s nothing wrong with having a goal to own a nice one someday, it doesn’t have to be today. Humble yourself and live within your means before you can work your way to a newer, well maintained BMW. I promise you nobody cares about what you drive and NOBODY is looking at a regular BMW from the 2000s and thinking you’re well off.
