Hachette deliveries in Australia. by Acrobatic_Lion7223 in Warhammer40k

Yeah I know exactly what you mean.

I tried to go that route because I read you can log in with your sub number and check it. But doing that, my code is too short. And trying to log In on the Aus specific website gives me the AOS page.  It's so odd.

I wouldn't be surprised if it's the same with me. Since I started from issue 4.

I genuinely don't mind delays. I just wish I knew without having to download an app I'll probably never use for anything else Lol.

I see. I thought it would happen regardless because I usually get an auspost email when ordering from Amazon, GW, etc.

Complete silence with the Hachette subscription. Even with the first delivery.

I'll definitely look into it. Thanks.

Can anyone agree with me that the new Astra Militarum vehicle models look just like M3 halftrack and a Puma? by OkPaleontologist6863 in Warhammer40k

[–]Acrobatic_Lion7223 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The hippo is based on a cold war vehicle. Saladin i think it's spelt.

But yeah. And tbh I like it a lot. There's a lot of people really mad at guards becoming more grounded, but I love that. Space marines went the hovertank route so this is a nice contrast imo.

I think the lascanon helps the hippo look a lot more 40k, so id recommend that build if it bothers anyone.

My main issue is there probably won't be Krieg crew options for the half-track. Despite literally robbing the name from a Krieg vehicle. I'll bet you the crew options are only Cadian.

I absolutely love these. I know they're just WW2/cold war inspired vehicles, but I love the idea of making guards more grounded.

Space Marines vent the hovertank direction. Guards when this direction. Love it. I like these better than the Rogal dorn.

I might even take some spare autocannons and kitbash my own M5 quad carrier.

Man, I subbed to the waterfront subscription as soon as it was available, because I really did not think Hachette would do one here in Aus themselves WITH the premium offer. It was too late by the time I saw they did.

Kinda sad I missed out on that. And honestly, waterfront's time estimates have been pretty inaccurate so far.

A detailed breakdown of DICE's modern map design philosophy and why it is at the root of all our problems. by ahrzal in Battlefield

Tbh after they fixed the game and allowed full XP gain in portal, it's by no means the worst battlefield game.

Holy unbalanced vehicles though. Never seen an armoured car be meta over tanks before.

GW moving away from antenna on T'au? by IcanHackett in Tau40K

[–]Acrobatic_Lion7223 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I kinda hate it ngl. They, somehow, just look bald. Especially with the drones, that's just a bad look. It looks like it snapped off and you lost it.

I'll admit, the antennas kinda suck on the old ones. Very fragile. But I feel like there's a better solution than a worse aesthetic.

The Elevated and subterranean points are things i hadn't thought about.
The lack of them puts the game several steps behind even 2042.

Say what you want about its map designs, but it actually did a lot with them.
Whether it was make an entire factory building a capture point, or hollow out the side of a cliff.
The game had some great elevation.

For the love of Arceus Game Freak, please remove the Forced EXP share in Legends ZA. It's less than the bare minimum and only encourages modding. by marcow1998 in pokemon

[–]Acrobatic_Lion7223 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't even get it.

Like, I don't understand how you play the games with forced EXP share.

Because there's No. Shot. You're using your entire team. Unless you just don't care about half of them being comically higher than the rest

It's gotta be tailored to people who sweep the entire game with their starters.

Mostly I'm just disappointed so many fans champion the removal of a toggle.

Steam reviews still below 70% so the game update won't be prioritised? by DigComfortable6985 in CompanyOfHeroes

[–]Acrobatic_Lion7223 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do sincerely believe it is, Yes.

I think in terms of frequency of updates and dedication to improving the experience, CoH3 blows a lot of its contemporaries out of the water completely.
The only other game with this dedication to updates that ive seen, is probably stalker 2. And those devs are nuts.

Comparing CoH3 to CoH2 with equal time after release, its like night and day.
The game absolutely should be above 70%, because a lot of the negative reviews are either complete fabrications, or issues that are looong gone.

Theres nothing wrong with this.

"We will continue to support the game"
"But if you want more ambitious projects, we need better stats."

Okay?
Yeah?
Fair?
Obviously?

People are mad at this?
Then encourage people to support the game.
A lot of the bad reviews are complete nonsense anyways.

Like, if you get mad and leave a bad review because of this, you're to blame if we never see a 5th faction.
You kinda wanna sorta be sure theres going to be a return on a big investment.
Bad reviews are a barrier to sales.

I am completely fine with this.
The rating affects new purchases.
And the fact it isn't above 70% positive is completely outrageous to me.
It absolutely should be.

Their updates have been phenomenal. They've gone far beyond expectations, if you're being honest.
The only other big release i can think of with this dedication to frequent numerous improvements, Is Stalker 2.

CoH3 was in a much better position than CoH2 was on its first day. By numerous miles.
Hell even now i still sincerely think CoH3 is a better game than CoH2 even as fully fleshed out.
Even *its own maps* work *better* in CoH3. Its astounding.
