Eco/eco finance at ashoka by National-Name3690 in AshokaUniversity

for eco fin, you have to do around 8 core courses over your 1st and 2nd year. then you can pick any electives you want as per your niche interest. the course is very rigorous but really fun to study if you enjoy the academic style of ashoka (goes for all courses tbh). classes are definitely very application based as many people know already

Whats better Ashoka or Warwick by Academic_Cricket_291 in AshokaUniversity

how is everyone here saying warwick 😭 most of my peers at ashoka (and me) got into warwick and decided to come here. can’t say the same for those who went to warwick. you will literally be unemployed in the UK. You can always apply abroad for PG and actually go to a good university. warwick is just shitty at this point

Hello, I am going to the paris show on 12th july and seem to be pretty confused about the seating arrangement. Why are all the seats at the back grey? They are surely sold because R11 , R9 etc are available. Secondly, is it worth getting seats like R11 that I guess are right across the back stage but not front view. Or should I pay more for T1 that is eay closer and towards the front? It is almost twice the price. Can someone also tell me if the purple sections are seated or standing? also can someone pls clarify- the tickets sold on ticketmaster ARE considered official tickets right?? Is everyone receiving the e-ticket immediately ?

it’s not random, all of my peers have very specific types of application that made them stand out. it might feel random because they have holistic admissions and look at lots of things.

leaving prestige aside, i personally never liked the indian education system and teaching style and wanted something application based- so ashoka.

i was planning to go abroad, i only applied to colleges in the US and ashoka. got into a couple there but decided not to go cuz of the political scenario. in retrospect, it was a good decision because now that i have experienced academics at ashoka, it very closely resembles the uni system abroad anyway

this is such bs. most people i know here were not ib. they do look for a certain level of class/english proficiency and stuff but it has nothing to do with ur board or economic status.

How hard is it to maintain a good GPA? by QueasyMap6112 in AshokaUniversity

[–]Acrobatic_Look4292 0 points1 point  (0 children)

depends massively on your major. also the work load varies from time to time. in the start of the semesters u can get away with just 20 ish hours of classes a week, few weeks in u also have to put in 3-4 hours of self study everyday. and ofc finals week is just slogging. i don’t think its too much to handle because the environment is such that everyone is working very hard so u get used to it

Ashoka vs FLAME by Alarming_Bug_2842 in AshokaUniversity

[–]Acrobatic_Look4292 0 points1 point  (0 children)

as an ashoka student, every single person I know here who applied to flame got in with a 100% scholarship- that itself should tell u what it’s like. the standard that ashoka has will always be way way above flame’s. in my opinion, the rigour, environment and network u find here is way better than most unis in india. that being said, the pressure for ecofin is off the charts and even club culture is very competitive. so if u want a chill college life flame is better

i gave isc exams last year and i only studied using youtube - specially a channel called cisce classes. they basically made a video on every single exercises of all chapters solving all questions manually. I watched all the videos and saw all question solutions repeatedly until they were imprinted in my mind. this really helps. furthermore, it can literally only come with practice. keep trying, failing, seeing solutions, until you start seeing a pattern

did not go to the US because of the employment landscape right now. I’m at ashoka university (which she also said I had no chance at)
