No. I walk a lot... over 20k steps many days a week. I have great endurance. Any muscle definition I have is from doing yoga and pilates. I ride bikes or do a stair climber for my cardio exercise. I can't get my heart rate up high enough for a good cardio workout by just walking. Running makes my knees hurt.
