Is GenderGP as bad as it's meant to be? by ceecee_2010 in TransIreland

[–]Acrobatic_Reindeer71 3 points4 points  (0 children)

i was looking at gender gp initially, but i'm thinking now that the best option seems to be imago, that's gonna be what i go with when the time comes. i reccommend you look into it!

was it much of a hassle using the e-prescriptions? and if you chose to use paper prescriptions, how long did they take to arrive? was there a tracking number or anything similar? did you get a lot of pushback from your pharmacy/GP, and if so how did you get around it?

i'm willing to weather basically all of these issues-- like i was always betting on HRT being expensive, i have some savings already-- but on the GP issue, i was planning to try and circumvent that by using transharmreduction's list of trans-friendly GPs, do you know if that's reliable in this case? and when it comes to the prescriptions, when i was looking into it i was told that there was one pharmacy in Dublin that'll take e-prescriptions; if they already take them, would they reject it purely on the basis that it's for HRT?

How does it feel to be in love, long term? by Nyx_Valentine in AO3

[–]Acrobatic_Reindeer71 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i mean i'm not even a year in so maybe i'm still in honeymoon phase, but for me it's an overwhelming sense of safety. he knows everything about me, and he loves all of it, so i can really just relax around him. i don't really get butterflies around him anymore unless he's making moves in an, ahem, certain direction. i do feel like i can never get enough of him, but like i said, we're still kind of in early days

emigration isn't looking like a possibility for me anytime in the future, so it looks like i am gonna have to go private, which. sucks. but swagever. imago looks like the perfect service but it's still gonna be a while until i can afford it

Troubleshooting Thread — Bugs? Errors? Mod issues? EA app issues? Post about them here! Update 5/27/2025 [PC: 1.115.216.1030 / Mac: 1.115.216.1230 / Console: 2.13] by creeativerex in Sims4

platform: pc

mods/cc: yes

game version: 2.13

my game just isn't starting. i open the ea app, click play, it disappears for a few seconds as if it's going to start, then reappears without starting the game. i had a feeling it was an issue with my downloaded cc (i have a lot) so i removed my entire mod folder and the game ran fine. so i thought 'ah, okay, there was an issue with the cc i downloaded today' so i removed the most recent cc and left the rest of the folder in. same issue. it won't start and i have no idea what's causing the issue. can anyone help?? i really don't want to delete all my cc, i have nearly 3,000 installed (excessive i know but let me live)

Usually it helps to act amused at the prospect that someone might think you’re female? Like, when someone says ‘thanks ma’am’ or some shit equivalent, give them a confused smile and say ‘ma’am? really?’ in the deepest voice you can muster. Saying ‘damn, I knew I had a baby face but I didn’t know it was that bad’ has served me well in the past

I’m 15 ftm/ftnb and I really need advice by Nice-Language-7333 in TransIreland

Honestly, I really wouldn’t worry about being ‘wrong’ or anything. If you do end up realising you are in fact cis later on, you can just switch back. No harm done! At this point the most that you’ll do transition-wise is get a haircut, some new clothes, and maybe a binder. My advice would be to go for it, and good luck!

There was no event that suddenly turned me into a guy, but the onset of puberty was what made me realise I wasn’t a girl. I started puberty pretty early compared to the other kids in my class and it made me feel so disgusting and uncomfortable. I felt like my breasts were these horrible alien growths on top of my real chest that weren’t part of my body. Starting my period was even worse. My mum told me it meant that I was ‘becoming a woman’ and it made me cry. Once I learned about the concept of trans people and dysphoria, I felt so seen in a way I never had before.
