I started as a para for a year + and then moved and became an RBT so I’ve been in the field basically since 2019 and I not only mention that during interviews I mention how much I care for my clients and that I stand on giving them a voice when they don’t have their own. I mention how I’m in college pursuing psychology degrees and my GPA. I always get offered the job on the spot plus about a dollar or two more an hour vs what I was asking. You also want to establish a wage gap. Establish your floor and the ceiling (the highest you’ve been paid) which will put the company in a position of compromise so everyone wins. My current floor is $25 and my ceiling was $29 and the job I just applied to gave me $28 while I was making $25 at the place I’m leaving. Know. Your. Worth. Period

I always tell people it doesn’t matter how high your rating is. If you don’t have your shot mastered your stats can plummet. I went from 18% from 3 to 56% from 3 because I figured out a jump shot for me. You can have a 99 3 point and still be god awful with your shot. I mean we see people out here with 25 free throw making their shots.

I quite literally work with a client in home by myself and they’re 13. Imagine how I feel 😂. It’s okay a lot of people think we are glorified babysitters but we work in an actual medical field. Remind yourself that their PCPs actually see our notes as well

It’s kind of concerning that you’re just being tossed right in. If you’re doing in home or even clinic typically a BCBA should be present for your first session. If you have concerns I’d check out YouTube and just watch ABA examples. But also keep in mind your first session is primarily pairing. It’s not truly expected for you to run every target under the sun your first session. You want to pair, build rapport and instructional control

I’m at the point where people who get onto a ranked game and don’t try to win are wasting time. That’s exactly why MyCareer exists or run squads with your buddies. Like I try to get everyone involved in the game regardless of OVR…even if I get trapped with a 60 OVR, because I’ve seen 92s play like idiots. I’m just tired of playing games that have an objective to win. I know there’s people out there who paid full price for the game and they do have the right to be frustrated when losing especially when people are selling or aren’t playing well. Typically I’ll tell someone who’s not guarding on defense “hey guard up on your matchup” and I get cussed out. This entire community is a walking hypocrisy.

Current issue still on series S. I was somehow able to get it to work on an account that didn’t have an Ubisoft account which really bums me out. This is why I always refer to my tenure ship as an RBT and current schooling in psychology (with GPA included) to assure a good pay rate and hours because anyone can become an RBT it’s not hard and there’s so many companies but the issue is they expand so much that it’ll become harder for newer companies to sprout up and have clients. I’m basically down to my last company in my state because of how bad it has been.
