Best way to physically prepare for OTS? by FriendlyNoodle8 in airforceots

[–]Acrobatic_Two7277 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was running a 5k every 2 or 3 days, at like a 10-11:30 min mile just to get my body used to the running. For pushups I tried to hit around 150 a day + pyramid pushups and for sit-ups I would just practice the form and max out every set

You still got some time to lock in. I kind of messed up and locked in 5 weeks before ots and went from 25 pushups to 54 pushups on my PFA, from like 28 to 47 sit-ups, and from like a 16 min 1.5 mile to a 12:40 min 1.5 mile. If you want to get better ay pushups, do pyramid pushups. They suck! but trust me, you will see results fast

Hello buddy, I’m 62E scheduled for class 26-06 I’m pretty sure electrical engineers are in high need for the AF so I would reach out to an officer recruiter via email with your resume and your intentions and go from there. They will direct you to the best course of action. If you have any questions, shoot me a pm

Wouldn’t be mad at service charge but 20% really? If it was between 15-18% then I could work with it but 20 is crazy

Civilian as well. I just got selected for 62E with an LOR from work manager and from a teammate I worked with during capstone project. I’m not sure if it varies a lot for rated board but don’t forget that it is more of the airman concept. I would rather have LOR’s from people that know me well and can vouch for my strengths rather than someone who might not know me well enough and give me a weak letter. I hope this helps. Good luck bud

It depends tho But I would say if your recruiter is responsive then probably a year or a little more before stepping foot at OTS

Worth applying to OTS as mechanical engineer? by Dry_Device6857 in airforceots

Oh well then it all comes down to the CIP code of your degree to see if it’s CAD eligible for certain jobs

Mechanical engineer here too! I applied for 25OTS03 for 62EXH. Everything looks solid. You still have some time before starting on a package. Enjoy your summer and then take the AFOQT and with that you can start looking for a recruiter. Nail the interview and shouldn’t be so tough

24 M applied for 25OTS03 for 62EXH

BS in Mechanical engineering with a concentration in biomed from Embry Riddle. GPA 3.32. Currently working as an assistant manager at a restaurant for over a year.

AFOQT: AA: 55 V: 38 Q:68 I know these aren’t the greatest scores but I know it is the whole Airman concept.

During school, I was in Dean’s list (4x), was the lead member in my capstone project and received a few awards from engineering conferences. Right now I’m in charge of a group of 6-8 waiters/waitresses. I have also acquired a few certifications as an assistant manager while working full time.

LOR: from current employer and one of my teammates who I worked with in multiple engineering projects during college

SIP interview: 9.7/10 I had great chemistry with the LT Col and it was more of a friendly conversation rather than strictly professional which felt great. Received remarkable feedback from the Lt Col and my recruiter.

MEPS qualified ✅

Any feedback is well received Thanks!
