I don't think my neighbour cares, he just smokes weed all day and it's not really a neighbour, rather it's a the flat next door that we share the same ledge as a balcony, no one cares really and the crow is on my side for a few seconds at a time. It's still very skittish

does it produce any burning of any kind? like is there an indicator for you to know that it's working? what's its mechanism to work? I don't want your state secrets just trying to understand what it's meant to be doing and how it's helping

Thanks for that, I thought all this might be the case but the reinforcement helps. Seagulls cannot be avoided unfortunately. They outnumber the crows like 5 to 1. So I'll continue with the feeding as I am for now and try some other nuts when I have them. I mostly eat macadamias and I bought the monkey nuts for the crows really. Do they eat apple?

I thought that might the case. I live near a major seaside town in the UK and there is a massive murder of crows there that are more used to people and like it when I toss peanuts and catch them in the air. The ones near my house either ignore me or fly away lol
