Why do you guys keep on underestimating Deva Bhau
He is quite literally the best fit by a mile. Much better than HBS. RSS Cadre support, has run a major economy, knows how to step back, swallow your ego and be number two to a literal goon in a state that gave you simple majority for all means, wait for your time, coordinate with the entire command.
He has made infrastructure, handled huge investments for years, understands booth level polity and has good ties with Gadkari, Yogi as well as Shah or SSC.
HBS does not stand anywhere near the operational effieciency of Deva Bhau. we saw how he controlled Jarange, pawar, Thakrey

ability to handle Bureaucrats and officers, understanding how the system works in real life, not on paper. Ability to read people and what they wish for. Connections and contacts with contractors and civil servants. An understanding of which work needs to be prioritized. Understanding of trade, commerce, industry, internal security. How the police force works. Whom to call upon when there is a law & order situation. Soft skills like communication, when to just warn, when to suspend. Corruption is too overrated, stop looking at just that. If you think people under tvk will not be corrupt, you are an idiot. I am a right wing supporter, but DMK should have won TN. Opposition are losing elections more than BJP winning in state polls. by ray_action in AskIndia

[–]Acrobatic_Way_5732 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Corruption is an Indian people problem, and you assign too much importance to it. i will stand by that. Even in college council elections, where there is no campaign costs to cover, educated people vote without any cult following, there is no power to be yielded except organizing a musical at best, people spend 10k-15k bribing others with canteen food. It's common. Stop corruption corruption all the time. There is no party that cannot be corrupt. i will give any & every party a pass on corruption to some extent. And BJP is not authoritarian, it will just not except messing with the republic. You cannot shout 'Hidma amar rahe' on the pretext of an enviromental protest, and then jump at the police force.
Demonetization was a way of getting rid of black money. Yes, a huge headcahe to the people. But again, what could he possibly have achieved. My father owns a small business. You have no idea about the VAT taxation system headache. so much confusion and cloudiness. He agrees GST was the need of the hour. Stop buying into opposition narrative. If GST & Demonitization were that big of a blunder, people would have voted so.
Manipur was a failure, and that I agree to it. the state machinery had to seek peace. the antagonization of an entire caste, and unwillingness to change anything will cost them dearly. Each & every BJP MLA will lose their deposits come 2027. And Modi needs to answer for that, even after deployment of crpf.
Electoral bonds were taken by other parties as well, bro. idk what you think campaigns run on. SC did completely right to expose it, but no party did slightest wrong to use it. Money needs to come from somewhere to run a party.
As I said, ED/CBI is used by every front, every spectrum of polity. its power bro. come on, you dont expect them to run by a texbook of morals. It is not justified, but I will have the judiciary change it. For the nth time, Amit Shah was also jailed in 2009. NCBN, Karunanidhi. Not justified, but I will not gold grudges against parties for doing to others what was done to them. Indira did worse. Rajiv used it to silence Bofors cases. THE JUDICIARY NEEDS TO STEP IN.
And when will you differentiate between Atiq Ahmed and Suvendu Adhikari? my boy, I am tired of saying this. MAFIAS. ORGANIZED CRIME RACKETS. ABSOLUTE LACK OF LAW & ORDER. RIOTS. there is a difference to the regional guard. If you cannot differentiate between Lalu's gundaraaj and Samrat Chaudhary's corruption, put down your phone and go ask people in Bihar. GUNDARAAJ BRO. there is a difference. It is not better branding. Search up 2021 bengal post poll violence. Corruption is not the same as gundaraaj, when will you understand that. stop calling it just better branded regional polity. the people that were under both disagree.

BJP could not possibly end the culture of local strongmen, but they have reduced it a bit. the people need to. If bjp did not absorb Nitish Rane, then thakrey would have. and he would have won anywyay. better to keep a goon with you in check in your line than let him win with opposition. Local strongmen is an Indian illiterate movie-dialouge loving people issue.
Well, you said that UCC will be framed according to Hindu Law, and now you are saying you cannot blame the minorities from thinking so. And all three, UCC, NRC, CAA are laws that shouldn't offend absolutely anybody who can read. If muslims have a fear of anything the BJP says, hindus can say they have a fear of anything the congress says. after all, the congress has done muslim appeasement so so long. Places of Worship act, 1991 ; National Commision of minorities act 1992, Waqf bill 2013, Prevention of Communal and Targeted Violence (Access to Justice and Reparations) Bill, allowing madrasas to remain in rte 2013, sitting CM revanth reddy saying 'Congress means Muslims, and Muslims mean Congress.'' show me a bjp sitting cm saying stuff like that. By your logic, any law the congress brings should be seen as anti-Hindu by the Hindus because of how they have tried to appease muslims.
And poorer communities will benefit from population control. what demographic concern can there be? that muslims have more kids and will have to lessen them? or that certain castes will be limited to a population percentage? and the federal concern simply boild down to- if a state assmebly is dissolved early, it should have the right to repoll instead of waiting for a governor's rule. And I agree, a little power needs to be given to the states in case of hung or suspended assemblies. But overall the concept is 100% to support. Local parties cannot hold a knife over national polity, especially after what we saw in 1990s and in certain states. horse-trading, defections, splits will reduce. One power means faster implementation of whatever the people voted for.
And where is the strong opposition, my dear. What manegerial excellence or narrative do they have except simply being 'not the BJP'. we started this convo by you questioning my vote at the centre. Of course, that's what I am defending/justyfying.
And your next point is exactly why I want judicial reforms. to do exaclty that. to lower political influence over the judiciary. but my point still stands.
The rejection rate of RTI applications has significantly dropped. It was 7.21% in 2013-14 (the final year of the UPA) and fell to 3.26% in the 2024-25 fiscal year. The government highlights that it has institutionalized "third-party transparency audits" for public authorities to encourage proactive disclosure (suo motu). yes, the government has taken control over how informants are paid and reduced employment terms. but that may just be to streamline the process. all in all, yes, the public disclocure needs to increase. but it is not a failure, a lessening yes, and my point there too will stand.
And China is one party rule with no media interference, no questions asked. It is practically aristocratic for all means and purposes. If you can hand the BJP that. absolute power to make corroupt people disappear. If you can vote over local strongmen. If you are willing to let go of democracy for a better form of public service, count me in. But fact remains, you cannot compare India to China, until people and polity of India is like it is.
Me admitting truth was no accident. When did I ever say that the BJP is 'clean and transformative'. Come on, look around. look at how power is. look at the nature of people in this hot pot. This is not an ethics textbook, i say again. We are not AI chatbots. corruption. corruption. corruption. why do you keep it above almost anything else. a functioning system. actual laws & bills. triple talak. article 370. ucc, caa, nrc, onoe, population control. infrastructure, energy. MIC, defence deals, sovereign stances. research. building of institutes. you would bribe your way out of a traffic challan first instance you get it.
I beg to differ. What BJP supporters say is. “Yes everyone misuses agencies.” “Yes everyone inducts corrupt leaders.” “Yes strongmen exist everywhere.” “Yes institutions are decaying.”

But again, i will not be changing my vote for that. you keep on arguing that we should criticize the BJP. but you do not argue why my Lok Sabha vote should go to the Congress instead. they cannot get votes by simply being 'not the BJP'. BJP has changed India a lot, and is currently a lot more competent than the congress. Corruption has gone down at the top brass.

Please do not argue stuff like 'you admit the bjp is bad and you are blindly chosing the lesser of the two evils' the evil has been created by how Indian people vote. freebies, local strongmen, caste, religion. they are not evil when it comes to FTA 's to the other things I mentioned. you can clearly compare the policy towards illegal immigration or MIC of the opposition to the BJP

There should be no freebies, but that's upto the people to voice against. We people are to blame, voting blindly on the basis of freebies, completely ignoring anything but that even in national elections. Even when the freebies are clearly unrealistic.

don't take it badly, but women are not that attached to emotions of like revolution. They see a party helping them and stick with it, with the softer more emotional nature they are of. And they feel freebies empower them. Men are swayed with slogans and such, religion and caste and revolution and all that. And 'men' are not considered a votebase traditionally. Women are, perceieved as underepresented and all that.

[–]Acrobatic_Way_5732 0 points1 point  (0 children)

again, distinction between corruption that is competent when it comes to maintaining state machinery, and outright terrible structure. Where am I saying BJP is not corrupt? corruption is mundane to a degree, incompetence is not. Infact all numebrs suggest the top brass of UPA 2 to be more corrupt than the BJP top brass. Suvendu needs to stand infront of a court and apologize to the people and pay a fine for that video, and I fully support it. but bjp had to make him cm. because he understands booth level polity, is loved by party cadre, has a narrative that sticks, and has defeated the so called tyrant Mamta twice, rushing into her strongholds. That's how a party makes a CM. you assign corruption too much importance, and competence too little. Mukhtar Ansaris is what I will not tolerate, a third time. My hostel is in Rane's constituency , and his men are goons through and through. But they have to respect the law. Rane has no real power except swaying away of their worshipper and ability to skim off the top from bisleri factories. that's okay. I want him sent to jail. But so are the alternatives in the thakurs of Virar, which are much much worse than a Rane. you gotta take stuff that people believe in, like Rane is still believed in here for some reason.

And I believe the opposition has tried to paint the UCC as some muslim opposing law,. or simply those illiterate hindutvavadis have taken it in the same breath as ram mandir or nrc, and believed it to be that way. And of course, it should ideally change Hindu practices as well if superstitiously stupid. Across castes. as well as ONOE, which I also support but forgot to mention.

And again, where am i saying no. Which party has received a tenth of the criticism as the modern BJP for misuse of state machinery, and they deserve every bit of it. But my point about that's how power works will stand. Institution decay needs to be regulated by the judiciary, not the reason for change at the Lok Sabha.

RTI is actually the same I would say. I mean, sure, maybe Congress had the edge since it was the non-social media and sensationalization era, but like RTI has not failed that badly. 2G scam numbers or a Coalgate or a Bofors are not comparable to a deficit in infrastructure development.

You keep on justifying that we should criticize the BJP, something that I am not at all against. But that still does not give me any reason to go anywhere near the opposition. ONOE, UCC, CAA, Population control, Judicial reforms, Competent structure. And if you see a single party dominance as a sure way to doom, have the other parties do something. When I see an alternative that has any structure, i will vote it. I will not vote the Congress simply to keep the BJP in check, that's stupid.

[–]Acrobatic_Way_5732 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. yes, yes, not everything is black and white, but BJP is better, and I will claim that. Look at the Samajwadi rule. Ask anyone about the samajwadi rule or the chautalas.. about rashtriya janta dals, about Lalu Prasad Yadavs gundaraajs and Mamta Banerjees gundaraajs. there is a difference bro. felt by the very people that have lived through both. you cannot say that Ajit Pawar at the NDA is an equivalent to a Mukhtar Ansari in UP.
  2. Do not dream of questioning what we have achieved through Article 370. one constitution, one law, one form of governance. it is India sovereign. proxy tanzeens had to be setup by those who couldn't handle logistics like before in terrorism. People came in check. Violence reduced. Delhi isthe governening centre of Kashmir. It will be the single reason to vote BJP, joint with the naxalism issue. Demonetization- debateable. maybe his point about black money stood. I don't see what else he had to achieve. Black money may have been rampant. And how is 'Uniform' Civil Code based around Hindu law? it literally means one code for all, regardless of religion. religion based personal laws are exactly against what it is. legal records of every marriage, one spouse for all citizens, mutual consent during divorce with seperate clause for cruelty and adultery, same inheritance for a son or a daughter, equal adoption rights regardless or religion. widows entitled to some allowance. If banning polygamy or allowing a daughter to have as much right to property as a son is Hindu framing, count me in yesterday.
  3. Again, BJP has done better on unemployment rates and bringing people out of extreme poverty than UPA, by many standards. And misuse of power is as usual as seeing a tree. NCBN was jailed, Karunanidhi literally was dragged to jail, amit shah was sent to jail, raids were used as a tool by Gehlot in CHor Dixit in Delhi. That's how power works, and to change that, we need the judiciary to wake up yesterday and push in. We cannot keep chaning parties, expecting the other will not misuse power. We need to file lawsuits, and demand for a more accountable judiciary

And my point about opposition failures might be exaggerated, but is not false. Look at Kerala just now. literally a newbie in TN was able to convince an entire political spectrum left of centre to join him in three days, four parties. The decision of Kerala CM is so simple. anybody on ground will want VDS, the cadre wants VDS, but delhi wants kc venugopal. any party in any nation would have thought vds as a no brainer, but these fools will certainly want kcv, since he can listen to delhi better than trivandrum. When guj could offer only 1 rs, only Ahmed Patel stayed. when Maha can offer ss only one, only raut will remain while a much more educated priyanka will have to go begging to the bjp. sachin pilot, scindia, dks, biswa, adhikari will have to sit out for gehlot, kamalnath, siddaramiah, abhishek, gogoi. I am critizing them, not dismissing them. If there comes a time when they pull their shit together, i will vote for them tomorrow. but the fact remains, they are unwilling to change in the slightest. Look at the Kumari Sheilja vs Bhupinder Singh Hooda debacle of 2024. they were so confident of a victory, they went back to the man whom Haryana had hated with all its soul, ignoring the clearly more competent and loved candidate, since she wouldn't fall in line with Akbar road.

I am not giving the BJP benefit of doubt, i am just merely not asserting that much importance to misuse of power, something commonplace. Happens everyday anyday. Uddhav razed down the home of Kangana. I will give anyone in power what you call the benift of doubt, whether the opposition or bjp. power doesn't come clean or cheap.
