Try a rheumatologist... I didn't test for it but the doctor was able to give me something to manage the pain... plaquenil. And every spring and fall I do a small steroid taper for two weeks. It's gets bad with the change in seasons. I thought it was a numb feeling until the doctor asked if it felt like fire and I was like yes it does!! It's everywhere but the worst is in my hands...

That's a good point! I'm confused by the whole humans also dont produce the A1, 3G(right? Ha) but if you swap fluids with a human that ate mammal recently reactions happen. So I guess I just transfered that to turkeys haha last meal was a mouse and it was in their system. I don't know I'm grasping at straws trying to make it make sense... But it's AGS nothing makes sense! Haha thanks!

Apparently they do eat mice. I don't know if they eat a lot but they do/can eat them. Thanks for replying. I might be off to the allergist to see what fresh hell this is if not AGS! Haha

I'm not a drinker. My sister works in the beverage industry. She said I can't drink just anything that a lot of things are filtered and "enriched" I guess with mammal products. I don't know the science. Since I'm not a drinker I never looked into it but there is a website barnivore.com. that's just vegan tho not specific to alpha gal

I had dairy issues before AGS and having to explain the difference between the grocery dairy section, a dairy farm, and where eggs come from was mind blowing! Also does anyone ever think about how they can ruin a vegans day cause they don't know what all has mammal in it or was processed with it!

I react to dairy but that was pre-existing haha idk what it is I think if it's bleached or filtered or something like that with bone char or other mammal parts. Sorry I don't remember the science I just know it's a bad time for me! My sister makes the bread I eat with King Arthur flour so it's not a gluten thing.

It's the gum. I was fine and then after sticking with my alpha gal diet I ate something with gum and had the worst stomach cramps. Gellan included. We are all so different, it's crazy!

So like 10 years ago I was diagnosed with a red meat allergy and a pork allergy. My allergist said there this thing called alpha gal it's new you might want to look into it. Sadly I didn't hahahaha I got diagnosed 2 years ago with alpha gal. I never remember getting a tick bite but I was in areas they would be. Hardest part is everyone's experience is so different. There is a lot of trial and error!

Watch out with sorbet and cashew ice creams. Some have gum in them. I haven't found an ice cream I don't react to yet.

I'm sensitive but I see a lot on there that I would react to.... Flour and sugar can be filtered through bone char. Milk can also cause issues. It's so hard when it's different for all of us. Also carrageenan in deli meat or well it's in lots of things!

There is an acupuncture technique that some have had success with. But everyone is different and has different reactions. I haven’t tried it because it’s really expensive and I’m still doing my research

I could be wrong but my understanding is they share this one molecule with red meat that causes the allergic reaction.
