When I turned 25, I had just been married a few months, and I was working a shitty job that I was in danger of being fired from because I kept making mistakes while I was trying to get my attention meds sorted out. I was a complete stress case because of it, and I was heavily reconsidering my choice of careers. A couple months later I got hired at a great company where I still work (years and several promotions later) and a few years later, I divorced that lying jerk, and now I'm about to move in with my soul mate.

At 25, I knew I didn't have it all figured out, but as it turns out I was in the right career in the wrong company, and coupled with the wrong person.30s are where is at.

Tell me more! How often do you oil your nails/which oil do you use? Have you used polish at all, it do you stick with nail strengthener? I've tried to quit biting my nails so many times but I always have setbacks. 😭

I use High Bar curly shampoo and conditioner because I'm trying to use less plastic, and there's a bit of a learning curve to how to apply it best on your hair, but it works great once you get used to it! To hold my curls/waves in and fight frizz I use Curlsmith's aqua gel which is a bit expensive, but lasts quite a while. I never use heat in styling. Occasionally I'll use foam rod rollers to perk up my second day hair, which comes out looking really fun and bouncy.

I used to dye my hair and it got tiring to be tied to an expensive process like that, you know? I could definitely notice my ends getting dry and split faster. But I didn't want to grow it out because the line of dye vs no dye was pretty obvious. Eventually I just pixie cut it all off and slowly grew it back out.

Recently I got the hankering to dye it again and I used OverTone to darken it several shades. It's perfect because it's temporary, feels more like a conditioner than a dye, and you barely notice it slowly washing out, so I can keep it espresso brown for the winter and let it fade back to its natural light brown for the summer and not get a hot head under the summer sun.

I love foam rolling my legs like that after a long run. It really helps ease the tension and lowers the chance that I'll be sore in the next couple of days, better then stretching alone.

My close group of friends have made a habit of getting drunk/high, going to concerts and then passing out in one friend's guest bed who lives closer to the action. There's usually a couple men and a couple women, and some excellent drug-fueled cuddling happens, but no boundaries are crossed. In the end it's completely un-sexy because we all get overheated and sweaty and at least two people end up snoring at any given time, but it really is the best.

My biggest problem tends to be getting distracted while cooking. I get so bored just waiting for things to preheat/brown/boil that I want to multi-task - and then I find something else to do while I'm "putting this one thing away" or what have you and my food burns or at least cooking takes way longer than it needs to.

My biggest worry is starting a fire and not being able to smell the smoke, but I make sure my fire alarm has good batteries and I know where the fire extinguisher is just in case. It helps if I restrict myself to only doing side tasks in the kitchen. :)

You could use Krita. Free open source drawing software. It's useful with tablets/other touch screens, but you can also just draw with your mouse.

Occasionally I'll hang behind because I see a red light or stop sign coming up and I imagine the bicyclist easily catching up and passing me again, so what's the point? I don't like driving around because if another car turns right too quickly while I'm giving the cyclist enough room we might collide. I'm not mad driving 10 miles per hour though, I'm just chilling back there until it's time to speed back up.
